Adele is lightyears ahead of Gaga in terms of music. She's more respected and adored than Gaga for sure. The only other female artist that has recently surpassed Adele is Taylor, but even Taylor couldn't break the 25 debut sales (3.5M). 

 

People often forget how ginormous Adele is bc she only releases every half decade. If she were to do frequent releases like Taylor and switch up her sound a bit, she'd probably be unbeatable tbh

Can yall please stop pretending 30 flopped? No one besides the broom lady can beat 900k debut. Her tour was extremely successful. Easy On Me was and still is a SMASH. Adele's singles post album never do well cause everyone already bought the album and listened to it several times over. That doesn't mean she fell off. If they both drop an album tomorrow Adele would be the one making the most news and press. Gaga is better for quick lil feature singles and overall celebrityism but music wise it's Adele.

These threads are stupid. They are both very successful but different artistically so the comparison is a bit silly. Gaga has a beaut voice but she's more of an all round entertainer whilst Adele's strengths are mainly focused on her vocals. Not sure what is gained when we compare them.

It's not fair to compare them imo because both are still huge and successful. Adele managed to maintain her image among the GP and that means if she ever stops making music, she would still be able to do concert tours and all.

Music wise its Adele and its not close.

 

30 was an underperformamce but it was still much more successful than Chromatica, Joanne, and Artpop. 

 

Musically, Gaga haa fallen off HARD with the GP. Her acting career has been impressive though.

Music wise Adele is definitely bigger. Gaga feels more iconic though.

If Adele wasn't lazy with releasing music she would be above Gaga, but Gaga takes this at the moment.

Depends on what we're discussing, I personally prefer Gaga and I think she has the bigger cultural impact (I mean, the Adele-wannabes stopped appearing around two years post-21).

But Adele is more famous and more popular.

Not LG7's lead single aka the BIGGEST HIT OF THE YEAR die with a smile   also Shallow is bigger than Easy On Me.

 

Also, if we compare Gaga's solo and almost non-single Always Remember Is this Way (a song from a movie only) to Easy On Me (amassaive and highly anticipated lead single after a long time of not releasing anything):

The difference does not quite justify.
