The soundtrack to the highly anticipated Disney sequel wasn't even able to enter the top 100 of BB200 despite all the hype it got. Meanwhile, its competitor, Wicked, is serving stability in the top 3 there. For comparison, the previous Moana OST managed to reach the impressive #2 peak:

 

 

What did happen? What went wrong? Is this the lack of talentry? Did the Godcked's excellent soundtrack overshadow these forgettable songs? Maybe TikTok can still save Mopanned 2's OST? Time to call miss Addison Rae, I guess.

The music is bad

Music was so forgettable compared to the first one. They should've gotten someone better to replace Lin-Manuel Miranda 

it was meant to be a few little quick songs for a direct-to-streaming sequel disney+ series without lin manuel miranda

It was a cash grab originally intended for Disney+. I'd say it was still effective, since the movie had a big debut. But its longevity will suffer due to the quality not being there.

Not that I'm aware of, just that ever the Hamilton pro shot was released in 2020 the internet's been really weird about LMM and the image was from a meme about that internet being weird about him
