So appreciated these girls work ethic and can actually get things done. Release a debut album with good producing is hard. For that alone they should be applause. And the final result is decent at worst, nothing offensive bad so far.

I'm not worried about numbers, I just hate it releasing at different times for everyone. Half of the world are gonna be spamming snippets, hyping it up etc. while the other half can't even listen yet for another half a day  Just do a global release like 99% of everyone else and like they just did for her 4 singles

eh, asia is Lisa's biggest market so a local release makes total sense

I love the og album cover but the entire photoshoot is literally 20200394949x better

So far, her singles are superior of every Blackpink girls. I'm excited to hear the rest 

the last time i got up early (7 a.m.) for a release was pink venom so i'm very happy that alter ego has a local release time

No. Her singles have been released at midnight UTC, probably because that's when Spotify tracking begins, so it was 7-8pm EST. 

If she followed Billboard tracking and released at midnight EST then yes a local release would also be midnight like you said, but I wasn't talking about the time of day. I was talking about the fact that most of the world will be streaming it earlier than them because it's staggered. It's just unnecessary. Blackpink never pulled this **** outside of throwaway game collab tracks like The Girls

new zealand always gets paid dust when it comes to everything music related… tours, special album events ect…. so pls just let us have the one thing of enjoying new music first

idrc about the US, I was just using them as the most extreme example because they're the farthest west so they're the last to get it. Europe, Africa are still around 10 hours late too

 

Like it's not the end of the world. We're only having a discussion, I'm not crying in the streets or anything  It's just unnecessary to have to avoid spaces all day because half of the world is already posting and discussing it before you can. And I'm not about to stream an album via twitter

They need to release 5 digital covers to match with the photobook albums, bc the official cover aint it, its so boring

 

As an Australian, I LOVE local releases, Thursday midnight is always my new music listening time every week, hate when I have to wait till Friday 4pm, makes the day drag so much

Everyone does local time from  old acts like Beyonce, Ariana, Gaga, Katy to new acts like Billie, Dua, Doja.

 

Onlt Taylor and US rappers release at US time.
