So why? I don't think it's a particularly bad song. Her vocals in this song are good and production is decent. It's certainly not Gaga's best but not as bad as Stupid Love either.

    Because she's at that point where not everything she makes will be a hit or expected to be a hit. She could just do a major stadium tour and be done with it.

    I think because it sounds like something she would have released during Artpop, the GP are probably wanting a fresh sound.

    Solo GaGa = limited GP interest. This has been proven several times. It's sad because it should actually be the opposite for an 'MPG'.

    Something about her dropping the song, going radio silent for a few days, then promoting DWAS when she does resurface, dropping the music video, then dipping again might have something to do with it.

    Also this genre of pop is not what everyone is listening to now so ofc it's not going to do as well as stuff catered to the sound of right now.

    The song isn't bad, but her vocals on the chorus is just grating especially to a casual listener

    She kills her hype by releasing songs that aren't radio friendly as leads.

    BTW crashed fast after 6 weeks and Applause also took a while to grow.
