I feel like the public is waiting for her comeback. Her new look and revitalized vocals have translated into hype for the new era. Can she have an emancipation era if she plays cards right?

No, but her public image has improved alot. People love to hate on fat flops. Now that's she's hot again everyone's acting like we're rooting for you

The cards are stacked against her. Her decade of flops (keeps sellin' lower) has cut her off from the hit machine. She won't easily get her hands on a bonafide hit, as its writers will want to sell it to someone more successful. She had to fight off ChloexHalle for Fall in Line for god's sake. Add to that her chronically terrible ear for hits and bad single choices and yeah

 

But there can be miracles if you believe and I have not given up on the Legend. Her prime was too short for her talent and if she magically stumbles on the right material, with her current looks and seasoned stage experience, it's OVER

 

I truly want her to have a hit era again, but I'm setting the bar really low.

 

Before going for an Emancipation Of Mimi era, let's go for an era with songs that at least chart on the Hot 100. That would be a win already.

 

But I do feel her next era could do better than Liberation if she plays her cards right.

She just needs to be in tune with her creativity/artistic self and give a f*** about her career. Everything else, she got it.
 

For an artist like her who's stayed so long in the industry, sales are not the most important factor. But she has to prove she has something to say and to offer in the current music landscape for her to be considered more than a legacy act. I have faith in her 

No harm in trying at this point, Katy already fumbled all of her built up hype. She can try without fear of being labeled as the "worst comeback"
