  2. I don't hate her; in fact, I love her. I enjoy her sarcastic humor, and I generally like her songs. I feel the hate she gets is incredibly forced—the result of having had such a massive "imperial phase" that it overshadowed all the ATRL favorites without even trying. They can't forgive her for that; she caused them serious trauma that they just can't get over, which is why they hate her. Deep down, though, many people here actually like her music—they can enjoy it—but at the same time, they enjoy hating her.
  3. Personally, I love the album; it's not their best, but it's really not the worst either. It has more good songs than bad ones—in fact, the only ones I don't like are "Truth" and "Gorgeous." But, the songs added on 1432 are truly awful.
  4. It's time to accept that people aren't interested in Katy's new music. Fortunately, she has such an impressive catalog that, even with an unsuccessful release, her older music will always remain relevant; hopefully, the songs she releases now will eventually go viral and get the recognition they deserve. And as for the haters: her new music might not be a hit, but her older songs currently sell better than those of your favorite artist.
  5. I hope all the Venezuelan members of ATRL are doing well. All of this is incredibly painful and horrible. It surprises me that so many artists haven't said a single word about it. Only Latin artists and a few Americans have commented on the situation and shown some empathy and compassion.
  6. United States iTunes Top Songs 49 NEW Katy Perry - WONDER
  7. Did you really think it was a bad performance? What's wrong with ATRL? It was simple yet moving and brilliant at the same time. He couldn't have chosen a better song, honestly. People outside of ATRL are praising the performance and the boy.
  8. I can understand why she's not singing WIB; it would be strange at a sporting event. The same goes for LL or TOTGA, and it makes sense that it's Wonder. Before 143, she sang What Makes a Woman at AI, and "woman" is the last word of that song; then came Woman's World. The last word of the song Wonder is "fire"... This woman is going to set things on fire with her new single and album.
  9. They're both in the same boat... in my heart. My two favorite artists. One recognized as the voice of her generation, acclaimed and praised. The other, the undisputed queen of pop classics that will always be remembered. Both happy, having celebrated their day yesterday, while you're here making stupid comments against them.
  10. It's hard to believe someone with a history of lying like this actress, and maybe I'm wrong, but I've never believed people who report harassment or assault yet continue working with—or enjoying the company of—their supposed abusers. Yes, of course there's fear, trauma, and all the psychological factors involved in these cases, but how convenient it is to bring up the abuse only when it benefits you. The issue isn't why you choose to fight now instead of before; it's why you kept working with or spending time around your aggressor. When your "abuser" becomes inconvenient or no longer useful, that's when you decide to report them. This topic frustrates me because I feel like situations like this harm and undermine cases that truly deserve to be investigated. If KP did what she's accused of, then it's right for the law to handle it, but she's innocent until proven guilty. Otherwise, it feels like something planned to attack her. It can't be a coincidence that people always want to crucify her for something and that there's so much hypocrisy surrounding her constant controversies. And to finish, this isn't about preferences, and if your favorite artist happens to be KP's rival, that doesn't give you an excuse to say stupid things about such a sensitive topic like sexual abuse. I wish people would take this issue more seriously and stop treating it like entertainment.
  11. If other artists spoke out, they'd be erecting statues to them here at ATRL. But they don't even try. But because it's Katy Perry, they call her a hypocrite. So who are the hypocrites?
  12. I think it's viral; many pages are reporting it.
  13. They're simply stupid people trying to tell us Venezuelans how we should feel now that the person responsible for our misfortune is going to pay for all the crimes and atrocities he's committed. The only reason you don't see all of Venezuela united in celebration is because the dictatorial regime still controls power. If they had removed them all, today's images would be very different.
  14. Local? I would venture to say that in Latin America Xtina was and perhaps still is more famous than Britney, for example.
  15. And is that majority you're talking about present in this room? You can disagree with the way the US captured Maduro, but saying and believing such nonsense should be considered a sign of mental illness.
  16. I don't know how this is going to end, but to all of you who don't understand what this means to us Venezuelans, go to hell.
  17. It seems to me that the same news resurfaces every year at different times. Thank God nobody cares about that anymore.
  18. It's Katy Perry, people hate her for no reason, and her name alone isn't going to guarantee an immediate hit like it used to. I think she knows this, which is why she's not putting much effort into promoting her single. Her tour is successful, and the hit singles from her golden era are still selling more than the music of some pop stars (including herself). That alone should be enough to keep her rich for life, but here at ATRL still think she's washed up and isn't making huge amounts of money.
  19. I'm not a Taylor Swift fan; I don't understand her extreme popularity, and honestly, sometimes it bothers me a little that she's so famous. On the other hand, "Ophelia" is a brilliant song, video, lyrics, music, promotion, everything. It deserves all the success it has.
  20. "Legendary Lovers" (ft. Drake) "Roulette" "Cry About It Later" "All the Love"
  21. The interest many here are showing in Katy's flop is impressive. Roar vs. Applause and 2013 did a lot of damage to their twisted minds, and they'll never get over it.
  22. When I said "her flowers moment," do you seriously think I meant she'd have the same numbers?
  23. I really thought it would have worse numbers. Recovering from WW and 143 won't be easy, and I think it's on the right track. It won't be easy at first, but it can end well.
