  1. also this sound is so authentic to her, some tracks are so inspired by Imogen Heap. I just want her to make what she loves. Her artistic instincts have worked so far so she should drown out any negative noise and keep doing her
  2. She belted a lot in her earlier music, I really like this gear change and she is showing restraint. We've seen it with HTIMYLM that while this sort of sound isn't as instant, it does serve longevity and I think we will look back on this project fondly (just like we do with positions, which as we all know was bashed upon arrival and now sits in most fans top 3)
  3. Shocked by some of the reviews. I must be biased but obsessed with this. It's experimental, introspective, dreamy, something new for her. Love it. & that music video though
  4. Everyone was quick to label Dua a flop after Radical Optimism singles didn't smash out the gate like Don't Start Now. Looking back, Houdini (1 billion+) and Training Season (892m) have accumulated massive streaming totals showing impressive longevity. Were we too quick to judge based on chart peaks, and has streaming changed what we should consider a hit?
  5. this just shows spotify is getting as unreliable as billboard in tracking what's popular
  6. don't forget Katy Perry just released her smash new single
  7. why are we knocking an artist for continuously releasing music?! If you don't like it don't listen, but she should keep doing whatever feels right for her, as commercial success is way behind her and that's ok (especially with the atmospheric peak and total dominance she had)
  8. yall have too much fun bashing the same woman over and over again, it really is never really over for her. The hate train don't stop. When will you get that she is releasing this for fun and not charts anymore, she's not had a hit in a minute and doesn't need it with an album as legendary as teenage dream
  9. I am living for this, I feel like we are all sharing our best kept secret. Not everyone has tuned into The Crux but it is such a brilliant piece of work. We are the lucky ones
  10. yes love to see some Djo praise on ATRL. Basic Being Basic is a bop, as is Delete Ya and Link. I also highly recommend Mr Mountebank and Purgatory Silverstar In summary, jump down the Djo rabbit hole, you won't regret it
  11. Virtuoso is a vibe, and also love how vulnerable and angelic Sweet Fortune soundsโ€ฆ and can we talk about how cute Fleur De Lis is
  12. when we say our girl is nothing but consistent we mean it. Ain't nobody doing it like her and seeing this sort of success and relevance 8 albums in. Legendary status
  13. I am baffled by some opinions here. She's on her third album, doing brilliant numbers and getting some of the best reviews of her career. The speak now comparison is also funny to me because it's now considered one of TS classic albums which just proves consistency and acclaim matter just as much as smash singles. This might be a subjective take, but this feels like a defining moment for OR artistically, and is cementing her as an albums artist with a loyal fanbase who care and want to listen to what she is writing about
  14. the way she allowed hype to come and go, and come and go again. Only Normani handles her career worse
