Hey! I'm looking for some new music/artists to get into. Doesn't have to be brand new though. I'm sure there's some underrated artists I don't know of or haven't taken the time to genuinely check them out. I would love some recommendations  I'll start with my recommendations

Blusher - 3 piece girl pop band from Australia. Make anthemic pop inspired by greats like Robyn. "Accelerator" is our generation's "I Love It."

 

Remi Wolf - Alt-pop queen from California. Opened for Olivia Rodrigo on tour. New album "Big Ideas" was the soundtrack to my summer. Unique voice and style.

 

METTE - New UK girl, only has a handful of tracks out they are nu-disco bangers. "Bet" will be one of my most played songs of the year and that VIDEO. Hilarious, innovative, musical. She's a STAR.

 

Zolita - If you've been loving the sapphic surge of artists like Chappell you an absolutely have to add "Small Town Scandal" to your playlist. It's like a lesbian line dance. Her sense of humour comes through in the lyrics and it's just all very sexy.

 

Empress Of - Saw her show earlier this summer in Toronto and was enamoured with her. Have been a casual fan for a while but between "Lorelei" being my song of the summer and her collaborating with Allie X I've decided to stan.

 

Drew Sycamore - Her album last year is one of the mostly tightly written pop projects in years. The melodies are huge and soaring and her style in the videos was like early budget Gaga or still relevant Katy Perry. "Into Your Arms" and "Fever" are both 10s.

 

 

R&B:

Mac Ayres (rec albums: Drive Slow, Magic 8Ball, Comfortable Enough)

 

Alex Isley (rec EPs: Marigold, Wilton)

 

Sabrina Claudio (rec albums: Based on a Feeling, About Time, Truth Is)

 

Pop/Dance:

Channel Tres (i think tim cook is a stan cause apple seems to always use his music) (rec albums: Head Rush, Real Cultural Sh**)

 

Duckwrth (rec albums: SuperGood, Chrome Bull, SG8)

 

 

 

I'm not sure most people have heard of them, but their music is so good! U should check out this rlly underground band

Do you know them? These are the Beatles. They debuted back in the 60s and disbanded in 1970 but I'd say their music holds up pretty well in this day and age = )

That's Lana Del Rey. SUPER niche artist with a niche-ier audience

You should check out her most commercially irrelevant efforts such as Born To Die and Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd? (I'd type it as an abbreviation but her name's so unknown everyone would get confused : ( )
