I've been listening to it nonstop since its release. On & On is easily my favorite and I'd give the whole album a solid 9!

I was doubtful to the bone that they had it in themselves, but God did they prove me wrong!! 

 

Such a great record!! I've been jamming to it at the gym for the past couple of days   

if you could do "Best Of... FLO" 10-track collection of their best tracks of all time (released/unreleased, b-sides, album tracks, singles), what your tracklist would look like?

this is such a flawless album honestly

It's such a great album from start to finish, and with so many tracks that's hard to do.

I finally listened in full. I wanted to post a review. 

AMAZING album. They definitely delivered a masterpiece. I always knew they had it in them.

This album is amazing! I have been listening to it on repeat since the day it came out. My favorites keep changing. The skipless bop factor is giving "The Writings On The Wall"

 

I really hope they score a surprise hit with one of the songs. I'm so disappointed that they are not catching on in the U.S. I don't see why In My Bag especially with a GLORILLA feature shouldn't be in the top 10 on Rhythmic. Who is their label? They need to do more!

 

For any Destiny's Child fans, I feel a parallel to the DC debut album. In 1998 they released their debut which was heavily influence by 70's soul and the generation before them. FLO is doing the same with late 90's early 2000's influence. FLO just needs a bonfire hit tho.

Why are they performing AAA? It's a cute song, but it's not going to gain fans from the GP. If they aren't performing In My Bag it should definitely be "Soft", "Bending My Rules", or "Should Woulda Coulda" if they are trying to get focus on their vocals or alternatively "Check", "Caught Up", "Walk like this" or "Nocturnal" if they want to really put on a show.

 

Anyway, this is my first time posting about the album. I've been too busy enjoying it and bopping to care about the numbers. But after awhile, I just started thinking why am I the only person I know who is listening to this masterpiece?!

I mean On & On feels very radio friendly and definitely sounds like something US radio would love so I'm not surprised .

They are currently promoting in NY radios and will do a tv performance next week !

 

 

im also surprised that On & On is the song that is being pushed on US radios. I thought they would try with In my bad since Glorilla is on it 

 

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer (because yay for the Brits and US promo), but does anyone else feel like the ball is being dropped?

 

I can't quite put my finger on the "why" but the "what" is very tangible.

 

No further push for In My Bag, no TV performances on home soil (or anywhere for that matter), next to no radio push, interviews (even online), no magazine covers etc. 

 

It's like they got that first-week push, the solid debut, and then... disappeared. Hearing a lot about tour rehearsals, but the flames from the album hype have cooled considerably. 

 

It all kinda feeds into my gut feeling from when the album dropped from #3-#103 after the first week. They basically aren't out of the danger zone just yet. I predicted then that the label wouldn't put much gas behind them or anything else from the album if something didn't catch on organically. Fast forward a couple of months and turns out to be the case.

 

While I get it fiscally (this is a business built on ROI), it's kinda infuriating because I really think they are the type of act the label ought to keep pouring $$$ til it pops off as they are so talented and have the potential to go far. 

 

Willing them a win at the BRITs (as that guarantees a certain kind of push label and press side) for album #2 (which needs to be coming soon).

On & On deserves to be a massive hit and that's the one they need to be putting their dollar behind so I hope it does something for them
