Given how camp and theatrical her music and persona is, it's an absolute shame that she doesn't have more opportunities to perform at her disposal, because her music lends itself so easily to visuals. I think her career would really be elevated if she had the opportunities to bring her musical concepts to life in a live, on-stage setting.

I'm worried… She needs to stop listening to the fans and just trust her instinct.

Not her not being sure on the name yet.

 

She said she is likely not to go with the title she had in mind for 3 years and that she hopes to release that album at some point in the future.

 

So the original album has different songs the one she is thinking of putting out?

I wish she didn't spend so much of her time listening to fans. It's her music, her vision… I'd rather she put out her intended concept and vision, rather than feeling the need to change things to suit whatever her fans "want" from her

She confirmed that the characters from AOMD will be referenced in future releases (I think she confirmed in another interview there's a nod in the FUFN video) and she played a brief snippet of a ballad

IT girl has been B Listed on Radio 1… So… single I guess? Does that mean FUFN was pushed back?

Same. I've been skeptical about the album getting released at all because of how predictable major labels are. However, the me that is trying to remain positive, does now question if the album is still a few more months away.

Any idea in which position she will debut?

I guess it's more than a promo single then … ? I've rarely seen BBC R1 playlisting stuff that was not an official single.

interesting that the album seemingly isn't finished or they still need to make final decisions.

 

i think it is worthwhile upgrading it girl to a "single" (whatever that means nowadays lol). the song has shown plenty of potential and definitely grabs your attention. it isn't a perfectly packaged chart hit, but people obviously love it and it makes a statement. also it might buy them more time behind the scenes if they are changing strategy.

 

for what it is worth, i think any changes they are making are based on the positive reception, at least. it obviously isn't a crisis meeting that they are having. 

Elated to see IT Girl being upgraded to official single! Love it or hate it, the song has so much potential. Us gays will eat up its cvntiness, the song is perfect for TikTok, non-LM fans will be intrigued and shocked. If Fantasy killed any of the hype Angel created, I think IT Girl will salvage it. 

Did we bag a top 40 debut or did it miss it overall?

I think she's dropping this album regardless and she just answered these questions weirdly
