  1. I know a lot of this comes down to the lack of radio (thanks interscope and unreceptive radio listeners) but it's still so annoying to not see either song in the top 15 only like ten days out from the album.
  2. Billie Jean and Beauty & A Beat.
  3. This stability!! I was worried after DD but think this could stick.
  4. 5.1 on global/1.8 on US Super stable!
  5. Yes!! I was thinking 6M so this is amazing. Really strong start and for a 5 minute song no less. Impressive! i am very worried about longevity and Saturday drop after the performance of dd though.
  6. Pretty much. I actually really like the song but if we're using ATRL's response to Manchild as a reference, this song is not a hit.
  7. Very confused on how top 25 after nearly a year is a flop? Objectively Manchild has had crazy longevity despite its really rocky start. The "who is superior between Sabrina & Olivia" thing is so ridiculous now because they're equally successful. Anyways on topic, I'm hoping since she rose on th artist charts that drop dead is at least stable.
  8. She bit the hand that feeds. Lashed out at her pop fans and the genre in general only to run back to it on the next album cycle. I genuinely don't think it's a matter of the song being good or bad. It's about her burning the pop bridge.
  9. Her demographic (age wise) is likely not active in a space like ATRL. Cher took off in the 60's. You mention Madonna, but not only is she more than a decade younger than Cher, her career didn't really take off until the 80's. Simply put, Cher is really old and her career likely predates a lot of ATRLers.
  10. I could see it going either way. On the one hand HDD alluded to the following: So if initial pure sales are strong, she may have a decent first week. (Though she was also in a race against Travis Scott which helped push SNS sales in a way she won't be able to for MBF.) On the other hand, I think the bigger issue for her will be streams, because she doesn't have two Espresso or Please sized hits to help bolster them. On top of that, she's been relatively quiet since Manchild, which debuted high and then settled into the top 15/20, unlike Espresso and Please which stayed in the top 10. Overall, the hype doesn't feel like it did for SNS and what hype there has been has felt far more like controversy than excitement. But someone else mentioned that it's not fair or realistic to expect every era to be an SNS. That was a perfect storm and likely will not be replicated. Especially so soon after. So will it be a slump? In comparison to SNS, maybe. But even that doesn't really make it a full on flop or failure. SNS level domination is unsustainable for most.
  11. Agreed. I know she's started to carve out a unique space with the Dolly influence, but I've always enjoyed her R&B pop more than her country pop. Call it Ariana influence or whatever. I don't care. Whatever the influence I enjoy it and I hope this album is much more good graces and bed chem (and singular) than slim pickins and Manchild.
  12. She doesn't have an Espresso sized hit and compared to the lead-up to SNS, it's been much quieter this time around. I'd also argue she's a bit more divisive these days. Add to that the fact that part of what pushed her to 362k last year was her last minute race against Travis Scott. I think she'll be lucky to hit 300k. Confused on why people are thinking she's got a chance at 400k or 500k with arguably less hype?
  13. So she can't write about him or the way he treated her because of HIS drug addiction?
