  1. I know a lot of this comes down to the lack of radio (thanks interscope and unreceptive radio listeners) but it's still so annoying to not see either song in the top 15 only like ten days out from the album.
  2. Billie Jean and Beauty & A Beat.
  3. This stability!! I was worried after DD but think this could stick.
  4. 5.1 on global/1.8 on US Super stable!
  5. Yes!! I was thinking 6M so this is amazing. Really strong start and for a 5 minute song no less. Impressive! i am very worried about longevity and Saturday drop after the performance of dd though.
  6. Pretty much. I actually really like the song but if we're using ATRL's response to Manchild as a reference, this song is not a hit.
  7. Very confused on how top 25 after nearly a year is a flop? Objectively Manchild has had crazy longevity despite its really rocky start. The "who is superior between Sabrina & Olivia" thing is so ridiculous now because they're equally successful. Anyways on topic, I'm hoping since she rose on th artist charts that drop dead is at least stable.
  8. She bit the hand that feeds. Lashed out at her pop fans and the genre in general only to run back to it on the next album cycle. I genuinely don't think it's a matter of the song being good or bad. It's about her burning the pop bridge.
  9. Her demographic (age wise) is likely not active in a space like ATRL. Cher took off in the 60's. You mention Madonna, but not only is she more than a decade younger than Cher, her career didn't really take off until the 80's. Simply put, Cher is really old and her career likely predates a lot of ATRLers.
  10. I could see it going either way. On the one hand HDD alluded to the following: So if initial pure sales are strong, she may have a decent first week. (Though she was also in a race against Travis Scott which helped push SNS sales in a way she won't be able to for MBF.) On the other hand, I think the bigger issue for her will be streams, because she doesn't have two Espresso or Please sized hits to help bolster them. On top of that, she's been relatively quiet since Manchild, which debuted high and then settled into the top 15/20, unlike Espresso and Please which stayed in the top 10. Overall, the hype doesn't feel like it did for SNS and what hype there has been has felt far more like controversy than excitement. But someone else mentioned that it's not fair or realistic to expect every era to be an SNS. That was a perfect storm and likely will not be replicated. Especially so soon after. So will it be a slump? In comparison to SNS, maybe. But even that doesn't really make it a full on flop or failure. SNS level domination is unsustainable for most.
  11. Agreed. I know she's started to carve out a unique space with the Dolly influence, but I've always enjoyed her R&B pop more than her country pop. Call it Ariana influence or whatever. I don't care. Whatever the influence I enjoy it and I hope this album is much more good graces and bed chem (and singular) than slim pickins and Manchild.
  12. She doesn't have an Espresso sized hit and compared to the lead-up to SNS, it's been much quieter this time around. I'd also argue she's a bit more divisive these days. Add to that the fact that part of what pushed her to 362k last year was her last minute race against Travis Scott. I think she'll be lucky to hit 300k. Confused on why people are thinking she's got a chance at 400k or 500k with arguably less hype?
  13. So she can't write about him or the way he treated her because of HIS drug addiction?
  14. I fear it's country-fied. All the billboards are in Texas (and LA but they're always in LA). And I can absolutely hear a "Hey Men, Amen!" shouted in a country pop chorus. Anyways I'm not always a huge fan of her country takes. And between that Morgan Wallen/Tate collab and the flop that was The Giver, I feel like we need a reprieve from the country pop. Please just give us pop without the twang Sabrina.
  15. That stat is wrong. Sabrina Carpenter also has 4 songs on global 200 so they're actually tied for most solo female songs. But Gaga has 6 total songs (if you include non-solo songs) so she does have the most songs for a female artist period.
  16. I think it's great she found her niche, but it feels veryyy calculated and inauthentic to me. I don't buy the image and I think she wants to be the big mainstream pop girl, as opposed to the antithesis to it. She gets a lot of credit for being an anti-pop pop star, but I think it's a calculated move towards credibility and not her end goal. Aligning with Charli and the alt pop scene gave her a crowd that would take her seriously and forgive her past transgressions. I think she's pulled the wool over a certain groups eyes making them think she's an alt pop girl studied in pop history when she's really just an inauthentic trend hopping shapeshifter that failed at being a mainstream pop star (which is what she really wants).
  17. She has made a number of moves over the years that make her politics pretty clear (donating to Palestine, speaking out at her concert after Trump won. She may be a lot of things but a trumpie is not one of them.) Anyways, on topic, this is a bad look for Tate but with Wallen's track record a large portion of Americans are going to eat it up and it'll be a hit. Hope it's worth it.
  18. Completely mismanaged is such an overstatement. It was a massive success and put her on the map with Grammys, acclaim and sales figures to match. Could they have squeezed more life out of it? Sure. But that's incremental at best at this point. Also for all the supposed mismanagement, it is the top streamed female album on Spotify right now despite many new releases. She's fine.
  19. They missed the window on bed chem. Vinyls shipped in January. Song has now peaked on radio. All the pieces you want to align for a single to ensure its place on hot 100 have already passed. If they were going to push it it should have happened with the deluxe. Unless they dropped a music video like this week before it starts dropping on radio.
  20. Yes a total dud! Sold almost 160k first week. Still top 10 on bb200 and top 2 most streamed female album on Spotify, even challenging Mayhem for #1 at one point. And sold double guts spilled in the first week. Obviously a huge dud!
  21. Yeah ATRL struggles to wrap their head around this. You're either a superstar or a nobody. There's never any in between. On topic though, that song with Doja was not good.
  22. She looks great! Right!? Would be such a perfect evolution and maturation of her sound and look.
