its not an espresso ofc but I really love this  saying that, it is serving instant grat though

i like the song but it's definitely an odd single choice especially to follow up Espresso, but i think it will get lost to Espresso anyway

 

love the 70s harmonies influence on the chorus, reminds me of THE Carpenters

Jack Antonoff strikes again.

 

They have the pop song of the summer and they just wanted a song to keep the ball rolling for the rollout. Let's wait for the third single that will follow the album before making some wild assumptions (including how deep is jack involved)

The reason why Espresso is so big is cause the production is just so lush and rich-interesting  but this guy production
Hope this is just like a teaser for the era and to keep the momentum goin and something better comes out.

If y'all could never see the writing credits to songs with Jack on them y'all would probably actually be able to enjoy the songs more 

 

It's cute! I like the witty lyrics and the twangy elements, she's definitely carved out her own sound that's familiar but slightly unique to her. It's definitely not gonna be a smash, but I already told y'all that 

The more you listen the more it gets better. Is it her best song NO it's like skinny dipping meets bad 4 business with some 80s synth. I heard a sped up version and I really like it. It's a grower not a shower. Let's wait until the single with the album to say anything. This could be the Deja Vu and the next single could be her Good 4 U (hopefully) JACK PLS PLS PLS STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE ALBUM

i'm obsessed with Espresso like it's the most smooth song of the year  i had high hopes for something nice, but this is so stale and screams antanoff in a bad way

This feels like a buzz single at best tbh no way her team will waste the Espresso moment starting pushing this song which is good but no single material so I know she'll be fine

Yeah this isn't gonna compete with Espresso or anything but I like it for what it is. Summery folk pop with 70s vibe. It's cute.

I like the song she sounds like Taylor in some parts. The video is good 

Ctfu my feelings as soon as I heard this was a Jack Antonoff song were proven right.... oh well at least she's got espresso 

The song isn't smooth, it doesn't flow correctly, it's weird. I think the random key changes pull the song down, the different melodies don't match well with each other because of that. And the mixing could be way better. That's not it.

The only thing I'm concerned about is I think this week might be their final push for Espresso. It's still at an all time high - but the single vinyls shipped this week. Hopefully they keep pushing it though, but I guess reception to PPP will tell
