I don't know what's your point here, but I'm going to say the following.   1. The release date (4/11) was given by the user below, who is an insider in another forum which you really know we

  • Dear Dance The Night,   I hope this letter does not find you well.   You are like a musical mosquito. In the summer of 2023, you buzzed endlessly in everyone's ears and refused to

It's cute but I really hate that her singles have been missing these huge crescendos at the end that FN singles had. I'm gonna be sad if this also follows that pattern.

Houdini is a smash tho no shade to her.

Idk what's happening this era, she should be making the best most out there pop of her career with Kevin and Danny

We should have 11 Future Nostalgia's on this album

Instead it's just Kevin Parker desperately trying to make a radio hit without knowing how to and Dua not taking the reins, or maybe she is and that's the problem, idk

Spoiler

This is exactly my problem too jdjdsj when they said Kevin Parker, I was expecting Dua's take on Tame Impala, big epic psychedelic pop songs and instead it all just feels like an attempt to make radio friendly pop with very minimal psychedelic influence.

The only song from FN that sounds like this is Hallucinate, she doesn't really have that many House dance tracks. One Kiss and Electricity retro House back in 2018 were collabs. I think is nice she has at least one House song in her albums because it's a genre that fits her well. I love the chord progression also. Reminds me of the dance duo from the 2000s Deep Dish.  I can't wait to listen to the whole thing.

Sounds godly. Oh Duallah/Kevin/Danny the legendary trio that you are :jonny5:

BOP AFTER BOP AFTER BOP :jonny3:

she just doesn't miss

It does sound very generic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've enjoyed both songs she's released so far, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this too.

promo or 3rd?

this is heavily giving hard launching/damage control and releasing the third single after elongating the first two singles to the most of strenuous extents not having worked...

You're right! I think some production choices are just too pop and too obvious, they needed to go for a even more alternative, psychedelic, rave route. **** the norms for a pop radio song.

Why would we want 11 of the weakest track on her last album? :rip:

Tbh both Houdini and TS keep growing on streaming and radio, also together they have more than 500 millions streams.

That's far from what I would call "not working" except if you compare it directly to FN which was and probably forever will be the highlight of her career.

She's making music for the gays only this time, im afraid we're gonna need a male rap collab to get a hit this era :rip:

The title song is top 3 on that album

Indeed. The song may sound a little basic a first but that chord progression is like crack. You gonna find yourself replaying it over and over again for no reason.

It's definitely generic... but it sounds good? I felt the same way about Training Season and it's grown on me a lot over time.

I don't think this will save the era in the US, but I'd rather hear the full song before I pass judgement.
