Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
Been listening to The New Confessions non-stop since it came out. Incredible album. Up there with The Old Confessions as her best work this century.

Dua Lipa receives Kosovo citizenship
London used to be part of Serbia in the 90s?! I guess I must be suffering from a severe case of the Mandela Effect because I recall it being part of England for the last 1000 years.

Dua Lipa receives Kosovo citizenship
She was granted citizenship by presidential decree so she probably didn't fill any paperwork AT ALL.

Politico: Dem leaders want to "drop the left, small donors", "embrace guns, churches"
Dems skipping C2C and going straight to their Joanne era. Who would have thought?

Narcissistic pop stars?
Dua Lipa isn't (but her father may very well be). That would explain why she's a humble person but pretentious when it comes to her music. If anything, Happy For You is the kind of song a self-absorbed person would be incapable of writing.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Releasing TS instead of promoting the hell out of Houdini was a huge mistake. Houdini could've cracked top 10 in the US with better promo.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
90s and early 2000s is also what I hear. I am able to recognize only some minor 70s elements, such as the drums in the pre-chorus of Training Season for example. Somebody else also mentioned some ABBA influences.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Rather it flopped because people hated it

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
I don't think it's Kevin who added the church bells.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Omg I think Falling Forever is finally growing on me.

HDD: Dua #2 83k, Taylor #1 285k, Seventeen #5 54k
These numbers are similar to Future Nostalgia and that one had a huge hit when it was released.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
I'm trying my best to like that song since it appears to be a fan favorite but somehow it just refuses to grow.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
She deserves all the backlash for not promoting Houdini enough.

There's no singles left in RO. What should Dua do? Rerelease or new Album?
Whatcha Doing and Maria tend to disagree.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Imagine the lashings FN would get for its last two tracks if it were released today. In retrospect, she was extremely lucky to get a 88 score back then. I think RO would've fared much better with critics if it were released back then.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Do we have the instrumentals yet?

Dua Lipa album panned upon arrival, what happened to poptimism?
She should book writing camps next time.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Whatcha Doing grew on me immensely. At first I found it underwhelming but now I have it on repeat. Kevin and Dua did that.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Subconsciously she's tried to recreate FN. EOAE tries hard to be the FN (title track) of RO. Houdini is the DSN. Training Season is the Physical. Whatcha doing is the Levitating. French Exit is the Pretty Please. Illusion is the Hallucinate. AFL is the GIB/BWBB Falling Forever and Maria are the Love Again.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
I personally love it, especially the production.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Whatcha Doing as a US single and Maria as a European/LA single would be a good combo.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
After listening to the album a couple of times, my trinity is Houdini - Illusion - Maria.

Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'
Overall a great album, all 10 tracks are decent in full, even that one incomplete demo (or interlude?) is listenable. There are minimal psychedelic elements in most tracks. Houdini remains my favourite track.
