I hope it's as good as her debut

Literally my most hyped record of the year, sort of unfortunate this implies Prescription will not be on the album though

  • Toro 2:56 Remi Wolf, Jared Solomon, Ethan Gruska & Jack DeMeo and she will probably release another one titled Alone In Miami 2:42 Remi Wolf, Ethan Gruska & Jack DeMeo

i thought slay was good, like all her bubbly funk tunes (keep meaning to watch the glastonbury performance b4 they take it down)

The funky glitchy pop sound is totally her lane, I'm disappointed that this album doesn't have more of those kinds of songs

about halfway thru and i'm gonna have to go to bed soon. alone in miami sucks, unsure about cherries and cream but can see it growing on me, everything else to pitiful is a real winner so far.

i do like the pop funk tunes best but i think soup and motorbike work well as shifts up and down, it's good to have an album with a few lanes

I'm not in love with everything but Soup, Kangaroo, Pitiful and Slay ***** are huge bops. However, nothing will ever beat Cinderella, which is for me, a direct entrance in the 20 best songs of the year and the 100 best songs of the decade. This song is perfectionnnnn.

This was great! Big Ideas indeed. I think Cinderella is still the best display of both her personality and catchy songwriting.

The three track run Kangaroo-Pitiful-Wave is absolutely nuts

listened thru it twice now and my take on this is that about 3/4 of it is amazing, but it's maybe a bit less successful the more rock it goes?

really don't like alone in miami, but also not that keen on cherries and cream either (unfortunate that they're next to each other). wave and WITOY grew on me second time thru but are perhaps not top tier for me, tho i liked the goofy folk-pop song near the end.

more than enough here to stick with it as an album i think. obvs cinderella, toro and motorbike are still great but of the new tracks soup, kangaroo, pitiful and slay b*tch are absolute bangers

First listen impression :gaycat5:

TOP TIER:
-Cinderella
-Soup
-Toro
-Kangaroo
-Pitiful
-Wave
-Slay *****

GOOD:
-Frog Rock

MID:
-Alone In Miami
-Cherries & Cream
-When I Thought of You

NOT MY FAV:
-Motorcycle
-Just the Start

Really happy with the rock influences she leaned into, was not really expecting those. She don't miss (except for Motorcycle; Just the Start is more of an outro to me so I don't really count it)

Feel like Slay ***** has TikTok hit potential. Its inclusion as a not-so-bonus bonus track makes me feel like they knew that and wanted to include it but didn't know where to put it in the tracklist.

Her vocal delivery in Kangaroo is sooooo The Killers I'm obsessed and that chorus is fire. Wave is such a moment, feels like the albums climax. Frog Rock I feel like I need to sit down and really listen to because there is so much going on I just need to digest it.

ive been a casual fan for a years now (since I heard Liz) and she has some AMAZING songs but the albums just don't grab me in full

DAMN

I was expecting this to be good (after seeing her open for Lorde) but this is up there with my faves of '24

didnʻt care for When I Thought of You but overall another great album :clap3:

nothing topped Cinderella or Toro on first listen though

This was fun! Idk if the rock sound on the last few tracks is really what I look for when I listen to Remi but it was interesting to hear. I think the sequencing was a little strange overall...Cinderella worked amazingly as an opener (and is probably still my fav track) but following that up with two slow songs was a bit odd imo. Slay ***** should've been on the main album too!

I love this album but I feel like the tracklist in the first half is just really throwing off the flow. Cherries & Cream just screams album opener to me so it feels weird it's right in the middle. I feel like it should be:

  1. Cherries & Cream
  2. Kangaroo
  3. Cinderella
  4. Toro
  5. Alone In Miami
  6. Soup
  7. Pitiful
  8. Wave
  9. Motorcycle
  10. When I Thought of You
  11. Frog Rock
  12. Just the Start
  13. Slay *****

Soup has been on heavy rotation all day, she put her whole foot in that one :jonny6:

Pitiful, Wave, Slay Bch are my other album track standouts

The chorus of Kangaroo is really giving me Waking Up In Vegas chorus for some reason :WAP:
