The collapse  Jolencé is coming

I have a feeling it’ll just be a sample similar to I Feel Love. 

I love this song,cant wait to listen to her version

Mixed feelings on this, especially if it ends up being a cover. "Jolene" is rightfully considered one of the best country songs of all time, but everyone and their mother has covered it already. 

 

It would be much more interesting for me if Beyoncé covered a more obscure and genuinely unexpected pick, even from Dolly's own discography. Like, the moment there were rumours of a country album people were already suggesting a cover of "Jolene".

 

Guess we'll have to wait and see how it goes. I have no doubt Beyoncé will do a great job, but I hope that, if this ends up being the case, there's some subversion or a twist, or just incorporating a re-recorded sample into a different whole. 

I can imagine it's a sample or interpolation. But I'm HERE for it! 

 This was my reaction a few moments ago when I realized that we have March and the album is coming out in March. 

I like Jolene. Would love to hear Bey's version.

I'm surprised she did. Dolly has been asking her to do it for so many years, I had hoped she wouldn't cave. I wanted her to go for one of her less known/predictable songs.
