original is fire, probably her most underrated single imo. should’ve been number 1 (but not really when you see what snatched it)

JLO and team did her a favor. The Firecracker sample on "I'm Real" was a good addition. Mariah's record sounds empty.

I actually prefer the Firecracker version. Listening to them now, she sounds really subdued to me on the Cameo version. Kinda makes sense because she had to re-record the whole thing.

The Cameo version, specifically the rap remix.

 

The "Firecracker" sample version is just awful. Maybe Cory Rooney could have polished it if he still worked with Mariah. He did a good job incorporating the sample on the original album version of J.Lo's "I'm Real."

The Cameo version, J.Lo definitely did Mariah a favor, the Firecracker one is so boring and doesn't have the camp that Cameo one does. 

The Cameo version is one of her best and most underrated singles. I get a serotonin boost every time it starts

 

The Firecracker version is lowkey unlistenable  It definitely worked out better for I'm Real.

Firecracker version exudes musicality though. The way she was able to connect those do-do-do-dodadum to the overall melody. Her vocals on the verses of the Firecracker version were also clearer, plus the chorus sounded bigger/ wall of sound-type. Reminds me a lot of Janet's Go Deep.

 

Cameo version is fun and camp. But it makes sense that the melody was clearly written with firecracker sample in her mind

cameo version cause i don't think firecracker sample even fit the song
