So she recently said that she hasn’t even thought about her next album and has nothing to say which means it will come in 2025 at the earliest.

 

After she declined with 30, can she survive another long break like that?

Like..it will still probably get a Top 10 - not a 1# hold, like EOM was

debut cute numbers - normal numbers that most girls do

will probably end up platinum

 

but it will deffo shock ATRL?

When you left on a very high note with plenty streaming hits, a break can actually be beneficial in the streaming era. 

But when you leave on a so-so note, I don't think so. She has EOM which was gigantic but I don't know if that's enough to go on another 5-year break. 

 

I think she will still do decent anyway and as long as she's happy, that's all that matters.

she' wont flop but she'll never come close to her 21-25 days... slow decline after every album from now on tho

Rihanna and Britney have been gone for a long time and don’t seem to want to release albums either.
 

Yet there is no doubt if they did, they would each shoot straight to No.1 on release week (and stay there a while too).

Adele is just as established, I don’t get why her having a long gap is somehow different. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If she changes direction and makes something new, maybe no. If it's another 25/30, a flop will be in the palm of her hand and she would serve Celine status post-One Heart

She should've released the follow-up to 30 this year. She lost her chance. 

Whats the meaning of flopping here? Because her last flop era almost went platinum in one week lol She will be fine. Even if she continues her decline she has a solid name and songbook to rest upon

What’s Your Pleasure? and That Feels Good are distant stylistically and musically from what Adele excels at doing though. 
 

She could probably explore Devotion-esque soundscape with enough core sophisti-pop/pop-sould elements, but more up tempo.

Exactly why I want her to do that. Devotion is what she always does 

She fills a unique gap in the market that nobody else on her level is currently occupying so no, she won’t ever flop. It will probably underperform for her standards though. 

Well, she's 35 and her time is ticking.

But atrl told me she’s finished her album

It won't be a 21 or a 25, but I think it will be on par with 30. 1 #1 hit and a top 10 debut on album release week and then the era's over.

She is still a huge name so she’ll keep selling big but nothing record breaking as her previous albums were (cause even in 30 underperformance she broke records)

 

I think she could do a 50-60M on Spotify & 600kish on bb200

 

Although I agree that she should’ve released the follow up to 30 faster, current audiences “retain” interest much less in time and considering the last time Adele had a proper dominating era was like 9 years ago if she doesn’t fasten up, the youth (that its the one that usually runs the industry) will barely know who she is and the hags will start to be too old 

Probably not a flop but it will definitely be her least-successful one. 

It's impossible to reach the highs of 21 and 25. I'd say she'll do a little bit worse than 30, but that wouldn't be a flop imo

I doubt she'll ever have an album truly flop, but ATRL will probably act like any album she releases that doesn't live up to the impossible success of 21 and 25 is a flop

She could have a 400k debut and some of you would still call it a flop when some of your faves can’t hit 100k, so who cares?

she's presented as 35 since she was 19 and her bread and butter are AC ballads. it's not like teens were clamoring for adele music. that's not as big of a problem for her.
