I think alot of people just like me missed the begining of the show. I thought the live stream for the preshow just turned into the main show. 

 

By the time  I switched to the correct place to watch. It was over. Lol.

 

I thought Miley was opening the show with Flowers so I was not overly excitied for the begining because I'm kinda over hearing that song.

Probably last second cause they weren't sure if Miley would perform at all, that's why her performance was a surprise.
