Your thoughts on these two tracks: The Archer, which could easily fit into Midnights' tracklist, vs Labyrinth on the actual Midnights record. 

These songs give a lot of similar qualities, despite being from almost opposite albums.

    I like the Archer but it's only about #6-7 on Lover for me.

     

    Labyrinth is my #1 on Midnights. more experimental, better lyrics, and that production breakdown is everything. love it.

    The breakdown in the last minute of Labyrinth is astronomically superior

    Labyrinth is probably my favorite Taylor song.

    I love them both, The Archer has an edge on Labyrinth for me as it has a bridge, whereas the latter doesn’t. 

    LaBORErybth can never reach the level of the Archer

    I love both, truly. And The Archer was and always will be a Lover fave

     

    But Labyrinth imo took the Archer blueprint and improved on it. Much more dynamic and intricate production, the breakdown is a totally new sound for her as well. It goes somewhere big unlike The Archer which is a bit stagnant (which I don’t mind, but still). I think it’s one of her best songs. 

    The Archer is one of Taylor’s best songs ever, a career highlight, while Labyrinth is currently at the bottom of Midnights so :cm:
