Do you get along with your parents?

As long as I play along when my dad pretends he doesn't know I'm gay yes

 

I didn't till recently. But finally close with my mum sincd she's finally understands my mental health and disability and reason why I never was like a normal child.

 

 

And I was always close with my dad as a child its why it was very difficult losing him just before my 18th in 2009. I've never been the same person since.

 

But honestly my mum is the only family I have left 

Meh. I love my mom but sometimes she says the most stupid things and nobody can change her mind. If she lived in the US she’d definitely be a MAGA-Karen.

sure, sometimes they make me wanna kms but i guess we all get along

Yes except when we go on holiday.

It’s a bit rocky now, But definitely a much better place. 

 

We are in the process of learning each others boundaries again after not speaking for almost a decade. So there are growing pains there but we give each other enough space and grace I think.

yes, they are very understanding, supportive and caring. i’m very lucky. 

 

my dad used to ignore that i was queer but now he proudly talks about it, i’m very proud of him for growing.

Yes my relationship with them is amazing I actually visit them every weekend (we live in different cities because of work) and what is so crazy is that since I came out I actually became closer to my dad like we used to fight all the time over stupid stuff and now we are closer than ever and my mom has always been there for me

Most of the time. Once my dad finds out I have a boyfriend though, he will definitely flip out.

We get along to the point where our interactions are generally cordial. My mother and I are going to have to eventually have a "Come to Jesus" conversation, though.

Naw. My mom is a narcissist and the emotional abuse really messed me up. Some people really should just not be parents.

On the path to recovery though and I believe in chosen family 

I'd say so... Despite growing up in a traditional environment, they were very accepting when I came out to them a few years ago, that entire situation surprised me.
