If she said it wasn’t coming two years ago she’s lose her fan base…why kill the wonder and mystery if it’s fueling every other aspect of your career? She used her 15 minutes and turned them into 15 hours. A reverse RAPholian experience.

It's just a little disappointing because she has more potential than that. But if she's happy with what she's doing why is she throwing tantrums over them asking about the album? :skull:

  • Maybe Azealia was right all along and Cardi was only ‘made’ to try and take down Nicki. I don’t think she has a passion for music and I don’t think she ever really has.

I just don't know how you can claim this when you don't even know which one-off singles will actually make the cut for the album, she could end up scrapping all of them from it which would make this s

Exactly, how can a song even be a single off an album if it was released three-four years before the album :rip::ahh:

I guess in the streaming age it doesn't really matter? I can't think of any examples of this being done but I wouldn't be surprised.

it's a coping mechanism

try to get the cardi fans to stick to a 2-year radius and they start sweating!

Wasn’t her debut the most acclaimed female rap album since Missy Under Construction? And the most successful since Lauryn Hills Miseducation ? :rip:

Another artist who famously refuses to release music :rip:

I see what you're saying but in that case, This Used to Be My Playground should be considered the lead single of Something to Remember because that's the only album it's on, despite it being released 3 months before the album. I guess that's why the RIAA sucks now because they can allow this, where Billboard/Luminate/Soundscan only count figures from the day of an albums release, and when people are actually listening to an album. Doesn't really make sense for pre-release units to count especially since there's no album being consumed.

Totally lol. How can an album already be platinum half a decade before it's even released :ahh:

To answer the OP's question, I'm not sure but she totally wasted the hype she had in late 2020/early 2021 when WAP and UP were smashing. Even that was three years after IOP, which in my opinion is already too long of a wait between sophomore and debut albums. She probably isn't passionate about music and just wanted to get rich. Now that she's wealthy, along with kids, there's no need to make an album since she's never been passionate about music. That on top of the pressure to top IOP and the recent string of underperforming singles hindered her sophomore album.

**** is annoying but she’s a Libra. :skull:

Lets be real she fumbled after WAP.

She should’ve capitalized & dropped the album shortly after. The sloppy and sporadic drops since lets me know she scared (to follow up after a strong debut album) OR her machine isn’t as strong as mfs claim to be – the stress results in her dragging her fans on social media; the same fans who been riding this successful debut wave for 5 years now.

Literally the easiest sophomore era ever.

seems like the demand isn't there

and im also sure that the writers strike is effecting this album

Initially I was thinking Atlantic is just getting their lick back right now. She got pregnant at the start of both eras and they just have her on pause at the moment.

But now, I'm not so sure

that's what I don't understand. She's literally spoke of this album on multiple occasions but yet gets upset when fans ask for an update. The same fans that made your bank account what it is today. That's crazy.

We are talking Iggy's The End of an Era, baby. Your favorite's last album didn't even chart but here you are worried about Cardi.

Why do you keep mentioning Iggy Azalea in these threads? her acclaimed album, End of An Era, is a massive hit and deeply appreciated within various music communities. The best thing about stanning Iggy is that she doesn't tell me to end my life.

It’s already platinum with a diamond certified lead single, a 3x platinum follow up (and a cute lil Gold single ). :clap3:First rapper in history to have multiple #1s off multiple albums. Now catch it like a red light :clap3:

So she will add soon-to-be 4 year old singles to her sophomore album to boost sales?

After making her fans wait almost 6 years for a follow up project she won't even give them one with all new tracks?

Surely that can't be true?

We’ll argue with RIAA and Metacritic. I don’t understand how y’all make this idiotic statements then are afraid to actually look up the truth :rip: her album is the highest certified since MOLH and the most ACCLAIMED since Under Construction. This is why she doesn’t wanna drop music cause y’all literally CONTINUE to undermine and disrespect what she did 5 years ago. But y’all pushed so hard for her when she was eating EVERYONE alive absbsbsbs a mess!

Yet this is your SECOND response.m to me though nephew. Looks like the plastic filled ass, panned albums and clown wigs are calling from inside the house? It’s not 2018 anymore let that hurt go. :rip:

OH those death wishes must have really hurt you. Please log off the internet and rest a bit.

It’s her album. Her diamond certified hits. Her iconic legacy. What’s the issue?

Because you are ALWAYS coming for Cardi when she is doing better than your favorite and chile, THAT album was not a hit, it charted in NO countries on the official charts. I can tolerate the shade from Nicki fans because it's playful and cute and we are talking about two women that actually made an impact in rap (Nicki & Cardi) but not from your trolling self.

Also, Cardi didn't tell me to end my life, I am not sensitive on the Internet like some of you girls are so...MATTERS NOT.

Please don't try to say Cardi made any impact in rap when she did not. She gets credit for opening the doors for the likes of Latto and Cuban Doll but other than that, the impact is yet to be found. That credit 100% belongs to Nicki Minaj; who writes her rhymes and maintains longevity as well as respect.

Refrain from trying to educate me on my fave. I stan the 2nd best selling female rapper in the world.
