It's just rather bland. Not trash, but far from Miley's best album as well.

 

You can give me 2 years and I'll probably still think the album is bland.

The overall album wasn't good. It had some cute gems like Rose Colored Lenses and Violet Chemistry but it's so bland and boring. I can't remember any of the songs besides these two and Flowers and I listened to the album several times.

Jaded, Violet, River and Handstand are those tracks. The rest sadly is not doing it for me

There’s some great moments but a few too many duds… when is part II coming?

 

It's definitely forgettable compared to her previous work. Violet Chemistry though 

Overall i think its a good body of work

Listened once and never came back to it while I was OBSESSED with Dead Petz and Plastic Hearts for a very long time. 

Oh honey I been knew! I been jamming it since it's release! idgaf about what critics say! The album is good! 

It’s no Plastic Hearts but it’s still good. Thousand Miles and Jaded save it.

I’ve given it maybe 5 or so listens but yeah, Dead Petz and Plastic Hearts remain her best work imo

I prefer it to Plastic Hearts, its the first Miley album I find decent tbh

It's decent but not as good as Plastic Hearts and Younger Now

Anyone pretending it’s not a good album is trolling or used to extremely boring and bland music 

If the whole album had been like Island, it would’ve been good

It started off so strong with the smash that is Flowers and the amazing album cover, and then once it was released... nothing.  Such a disappointment.  

It’s an ok album but still the most disappointing release of the year for me. I was so hyped. 

Jaded is one of the better tracks on ESV.

I like every track besides Thousand Miles so yeah, it's great. Better than Plastic Cups.

No. It was a disappointing release. If Plastic Hearts was the album that came following Flowers she'd be in a completely different place at the moment

Sadly I find it boring.
