Who is being labeled as MPG but cannot do consistent MPG numbers? 

Only Tay ,Rih and Adele can

 

Others are MPG for name sake only ( I am not counting Mariah , Madonna ,Whitney and Celine here obv)

Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears sadly - all talented women though!

 

Not sure about Ariana because I don't think she's an MPG in the first place

Taylor is the only one pulling in crazy best selling numbers now

Taylor is pulling astronomical numbers it became irrelevant.

 

MPGs is about impact, feels and iconicness now 

"Numbers" is a TW word for atrlers these days.

? I don't know any mpgs that haven't pulled mpg numbers. There are about 15-20 women that have sold hundreds of millions of records and/or been streamed tens of billions of times.

Yes! Her.

Taylor is the last one standing. Only Kpop groups can still sell on par, but they aren’t really considered main pop girls to atrl. So yeah I guess only taylor

I was about to say.. If Taylor the anomaly is the only one “left” what does that mean for someone like Dua (when FN has sold like over 15 million equivalent)? Or how Beyoncé is past her prime still out doing most of newer girls (pure), yet she’s somehow no longer pulling “MPG numbers” ?  The bar is simply just on the floor for this generation of MPGs in 2023.

Not necessarily on the floor, different times, different markets.

Do you realiza that If Taylor's and Adele's sales or Rihanna's streaming numbers are the standard, then the category of "MPG" has no reason to exist? Those are exceptions. Gaga, Billie, Olivia, Dua, SZA, Beyoncé, Karol G, Miley, Lana, Shakira, Ariana, Doja, even Nicki, all qualify and are doing just fine.
