I just remembered this song existed and I checked what the release date was and it just so happens that it was released 10 years ago to the day. I remember discovering it on HERE! back in 2013, as a lurker, and a lonely 16 year old

    It's Dancing On My Own's darker, moodier sister... with a very gentle touch of Lana.

     

    If this was on an LP like Midnights, a lot of pop-fanatics would be calling it the album's crown jewel...

    Even mirrors which was obviously a lady gaga fame era ripoff was surprisingly solid. But trouble was next level. Marlboro lights still gets me every time :gaycat7:

    this brings back memories of playing the Trouble album on repeat while playing Just Cause 2 for hours just driving through the desert :jonnycat:

    Glad that I’m not out of place here calling it one of the best songs of all time. 
     

    I’ve been playing Trouble a lot lately. It’s still so outstanding and holds up so well and washes some pop (and indie) stars’ entire catalogs.

    Trouble was one of my favorite albums from the Tumblr alt-pop era... it felt so genuinely personal and raw, she was just everything to me. she could have had such a big (gay indie) career if it wasn't for the X-Factor fiasco...
