why not wait until end of July, when SN (TV) era stops dominating?  it's almost like she wants to block Enchanted from reaching #1. which is odd cause SN is her favorite Taylor album. i

    Y’all acting like she’s 40 or something

Isn't the Sour album cover purple?

What does purple have to do with Taylor? :rip: Isn't Red her trademark color or something?

DRAG those ASWANGS leeching off Sour, Filipina Queen!

Taylor was her idol but then when deja vu was released, she said the shouting part of the bridge ("I know you get Deja Vu!") was inspired by Cruel Summer

"I love ‘Cruel Summer.’ That’s one of my favorite songs ever. I love the yell-y vocal in it, the harmonized yells she does. I feel like they’re super electric and moving, so I wanted to do something like that.”

Taylor, Jack, or their team (but lets be real we all know who's in charge) demanded Olivia to give them songwriting credit for those five words and Olivia's team basically accepted their demands to prevent a lawsuit. That cost Olivia millions in royalties.

So Olivia went from constantly praising Taylor to never mentioning her or interact with her ever again

Not me thinking it was about that other song that she sampled this whole time. If that happened it sucks, I don't think Taylor was the first artist to yell something in a song, she really shouldn't have gone that far, I don't think she's never been inspired by anything in her career.

What is everyone thinking sonically?

dark summer pop rock anthem

It has explicit lyrics by the vinyl she posted on her stories

Poor girl. It's her sophomore album release and all anyone is bringing up is Taylor :skull: She won't leave her shadow I fear

We are streaming! June 30 is our new Independence Day! :WAP:

I couldn’t be more excited! Ever since she said she was listening to the fame monster while working on sours follow up I was hoping she’d explore a darker pop aesthetic. The cover and title are promising. I think this will be huge

EDIT: it might be about Twilight since he posted (and she reposted) a meme about that scene, but I think it could still be lyrics

i'm thinking big power pop anthem à la Good 4 U but not quite as angry

but also seeing strings in the credits feels intriguing... maybe her Sober is coming? maybe her My December is coming??

Jack's songwriting credits are literally owned by a firm, that's who went after the credits.

Now I do believe there's something between Taylor and Olivia - I've always thought it was because Taylor posted about a differentalbum the week 'Sour' came out and ignored Olivia's after she did 'Fearless' promo.

Doja Cat, Anitta & Olivia Rodrigo in june. This is gonna be exciting. :coffee2:

WAIT. I thought this was made up. This really happened? Wouldn't Olivia win the lawsuit b/c the lyrics aren't the same and Taylor was after a writing credit. Or did she just not want the bad publicity of a trial?

THIS IS SO EXCITING!!!

She combined reputation and Speak Now. :jonnycat:

WHAT A REYNA!

ART, DRAMA, and CHARTS! :WAP:

WHAT A TITLE AND COVER. :WAP:
