Not saying it’s about taylor, but honestly kinda doubt it’s a breakup song? Girl has been given so much grief for writing her first album of mostly breakup songs, and she expressed so many times during sour era interviews that she didn’t want to be pigeonholed as the sad breakup artist. Guess we’ll just wait and see

Taylor was her idol but then when deja vu was released, she said the shouting part of the bridge ("I know you get Deja Vu!") was inspired by Cruel Summer

Taylor, Jack, or their team (but lets be real we all know who's in charge) demanded Olivia to give them songwriting credit for those five words and Olivia's team basically accepted their demands to prevent a lawsuit. That cost Olivia millions in royalties.

 

So Olivia went from constantly praising Taylor to never mentioning her or interact with her ever again

I have no expectations for this but I’m hoping they lean more into the grunge elements they only dabbled with in the first album.
