+ Its serving Flowers type of rise on US Pop radio even tho its #51 on US Spotify and never appeared on US AM Top200. 

 

Why is that?

Why not? I don't get everytime the discussion about this playlist. If you a want a reflection of what is more streamed what's the point of a curated playlist?. You have already an automathized playlist with the more streamed songs. 

 

It's a curated playlist so they try to debut pop songs, rap songs, latina songs etc... Also people want to read big names, not only a playlist of new artists (again there are curated playlists about new artists if you search that).

If Kendrick and Beyoncè make a song togheter it's an event, even if not for everyone but still an event, so you want that in your biggest playlist.

So Spotify believe in this song, it'a big artist in their platform and they want to push it. It's not like it's out of the top 200.

Dua Lipa has literally been hired by Spotify to promote their service through a commercial.

Because this playlist has nothing to do with what you mentionned. Labels pay money to get their artists high on it but you already know that.

TTH isn't for songs that are already successful - even the ad posted above says "hits made here." As in, making a song into a hit. It's a promotional vehicle to try to get a song to be a hit.

 

Nothing wrong with that, honestly - any label or artist can do it if they're willing to pay and songs can become hits without it.
