I'm a believer in God's perfect timing... and that DC split post-"Say My Name" kinda worked out for everyone sans Farrah.

BOTH the LeToya & LaTavia + Michelle iterations got Grammys, get an annual publishing coin off of their written music, and still win ASCAP songwriting Awards for their sampled contributions. :clap3:

Yes, I've always said that every important member in the group's history benefits from the legacy, despite how some shady people try to paint Destiny's Child as just "Beyoncé and the girls". The fact that people are aware of most of the members names/their solo successes despite there being a very famous lead singer speaks volumes to how iconic the group is. To a millennial black girl like me growing up in the 90s/early 00s, the ladies of Destiny's Child meant everything.

This tea. Bey, Kelly, Michelle and LeToya have had all their albums on the Billboard 200, at least 1 genre-chart #1 and multiple internationally charting albums and singles.

No other girl group can match their solo success.

They say you learn something new everyday:

Did you know J. Cole sampled an old DC Christmas song on one of his acclaimed pre-debut mixtapes (Friday Night Lights), and kept Beyonce's vocals in the back of the hook? Looks like it will be coming to official channels soon as he announced that he's planning to release all three of his mixtapes to streaming channels (just waiting for sample clearance) in the near future!

Actually Quite Like This (Camilla Cabello "Terrified" makes really good use of the beginning drum rolls of "Lose My Breath".)

It does need some sprucing up, but the concept is pretty solid.

Before her label tapped her on the shoulder and told her they were out of money, she was really trying to craft a Beyonce album (or beat Normani to the punch :rip:), and you can't tell me otherwise. Between this, an Ed Sheeran song that reminded everyone of "Crazy In Love" (I think it was called "The Boy"), and scraps from Diplo, Ryan Tedder, Pharrell, and funk fanatics Pop & Oak  :coffee2:, someone was DEF inspired.

Another day, another DC sample.

This one interpolates "Jumpin Jumpin".

It looks like Mos Def sampled "Freak Daddy", an unreleased Rodney Jerkins submission to The Writings On The Wall  sessions (as the DC4 girls all have writing credits on the ASCAP listing for Mos Def's song alongside producer Rockwilder), and you can still hear DC on the hook:

Thank you very much! The only reason I'm not including it is because Destiny's Child's "Emotion" rendition is a cover of the Bee Gees version and therefore they do not have writing credits on the song.
