I think this song deserved an emotional video with a storyline and fire. She looks beautiful but that is not enough for her best song

You can tell this wasn’t even considered to be released as a single. Once her team/label/whoever realised that the fans enjoyed this that’s when they decided to make a quick little video to kind of keep the momentum going. 
 

I don’t think there’s much else she can do with the era. It doesn’t look like a tour is coming or any sort of live performance. I think it’s best she move on to a new record for next year. 
 

Flowers is still huge. By the end of the year she can pick up her VMA’s, AMA’s and Grammys so it’s not like we won’t see her til the next record

I mean, it's cute, better than nothing, but yeah, nothing groundbreaking. It's cute that it matches the aesthetic of the era!

To be honest im satistifed with the era cause i really like Flowers and River is my favorite miley song-video in years. 
Thousand Miles is such a pretty ballad....it was a good era.

The video made little noise, at this point it's clear that the song won't smash

 

such a disappointment to watch one of her best songs struggle (yet again). at least it's doing better on iTunes & hopefully it'll slowly rack up views & airplay. If we get playlisting this week then it can still be a moderate hit. If not, I fear I will be giving up on this

I can’t imagine Selena on this at all, though. It’s essentially a power ballad in the chorus and Selena just doesn’t give that vibe
