i overall really love this album and think the hate is crazy. i feel like the extra versions will be more remixes, which i actually think would be perfect for this era since it wasn't as dancey as people had hoped.

it seems like they are going to push let's get married with the video coming. That was one of the standouts to me and I think that one is the best chance at a hit, so this feels smart. it's funny miley projects really need three lead singles kind of: one for the gays (BP), one for the alternative fans (DR) and now one for the girls/GP with let's get married

Plastic Hearts Something Beautiful Bass Persuades ESV but it's close between SB and BP and they could swap once I hear BP again in HQ

it definitely continues on in the progressive pop trajectory of SB, but a bit more commercial/accessible in my opinion. Lyrics are more relatable than SB. It's kind of like SB with a dash of ESV thrown in.

went to one of the listenings and i loved it! it's def different than you would expect based on the lead and the title, but it feels very miley and kind of instant-classic vibes to me. Initial rankings: Orbit-top tier miley ballad Let's Get Married- if you like rose colored lenses, this is for you! Innocent Ways-a very unique song. dancey beat and production. lyrics about noah and their complicated relationship it seems. big chorus that reminds me a bit of ray of light. Bass Persuades-you know Different Religion-you know Aftermath-I really like the chorus on this one, song has a good groove to it. Redlights-very fun, abba vibes. Neon Signs-hazy vibes, but kind of reminds me of a dolly type song weirdly Snow-a nice miley ballad.

DR sounds amazing. literally seeing nothing but praise. i feel like it also has good replay value!

I feel like there's no way it does less than Something Beautiful first week. I think the quicker rollout has more a bit more buzz. SB felt so dead after the months long rollout where half the album was already released. I think it's pure sales will be better with all the variants and Atlantic will probably do $3.99 digital versions throughout the week. I think with that strategy she can clear 40k pure. I think streaming will be a bit better too for a few reasons. There's 8 new songs coming from the album on release day vs 7 on Something Beautiful. And also EOW was already dead by release day but Bass Persuades should still be getting decent streams next week. I also have a feeling the sound of this album is going to be a bit more streaming/playlist friendly than SB, but that is just a feeling.

its debut is actually pretty good. if streams stabilize and radio grows it could end up peaking higher, we'll see. 20 years into career and still going top 40 isn't too shabby

atlantic believes in it with the TTH push in terms of how the era is going, idk no big artists really promote in the way we are used to anymore, unfortunately. it is more about the playlisting and variants which both seem to be fine.

I honestly don't blame her for turning down the vanguard, it doesn't make much sense to give this career defining medley performance when you are also in the running for the super bowl. It's basically the same type of setlist so it would be weird doing it twice kind of close together. I'm hopeful she might still just perform Bass Persuades at the VMAs. I also think the Hollywood bowl shows are kind of a better move for the era than Coachella. The ticket mania is doing solid promo for the era this week and the impact of the performances/social media clips will be able to be felt closer to the album launch. No SNL is disappointing but it is one of the more demanding promo slots. maybe she wants to get through the live shows/rehearsals first and will do it later in the fall

i really love this song and even if it doesn't become a hit this time around, i feel like it will be another underrated gem in her discography that people look back on fondly
