Is Miley considered a gay icon? Honest question, her presence feels minimal in LGBTQ spaces.

 

She's more consistent than Cher realistically, but Cher was a better chameleon, much like Madonna. Miley's put on alot of faces, but she's only authenticitally embodied a handful of them.

 

I do see parallels though.

Nah, Miley is actively doing music because she loves it, Cher has always just been doing whatever comes her way.

Cher is much bigger in film industry and music career wise they are similar 

Miley is certainly an LGBTQ icon and has done much more for the community than a lot of our faves

She’s been an advocate for the LGBT community and is highly regarded with the drag queens she’s worked with so yes I would say she is somewhat of an LGBT-ally figure.

Love Miley but she comes from a family that is a music dynasty. Not to take anything away from her success but if you're going to equate her career to anyone, that person needs to also come from a family with multiple members who are music icons.
