Without Gaga’s impact & influence, FN would have never seen the light of day :dies:

I see Gaga kind of as trashy pop while Dua serves classy pop. To each their own tho.

Maybe the Gaga from 2009 would've had the talent, drive and passion to create a pop universe as great as Future Nostalgia, but I doubt she could pull it off in 2023.

Bad Romance is one of the classiest pop songs ever created. Next!

Music-wise? Yes of course.

Commercially and  culturally? more like Dua had her Fame/Monster.

This headline is so dumb. How was Gaga "chasing" a FN sound on ******* Joanne or ASIB.

I don't think so, Future Nostalgia was so great in a large part by how effortless Dua was with it, it all felt so natural and true to her. Gaga's musical output has always felt forced, and I say this as someone who actually enjoys most of her albums, she can write a hit but it never feels like it's coming from her. Could she achieve the same sound if she worked with the right people? Yes. Would it work? No.

You’re gonna post an article from a britney fan page as though it’s not biased

I wasn’t aware C2C, Joanne, ASIB and Chromatica were chasing a disco sound :rip:

I love Dua but her songs are mostly faceless and could literally be done by just about any other pop girl with similar results.

ignore that catty ass gay clinging onto that one reviewer's quote :rip:

I don't think FN is the kind of album that has some super unique / personal style. now is Dua (or anyone else for that matter) capable of pulling off Born This Way? I don't think so :ducky:

It wasn’t their review, it was just the first tweet to pop up.

She tried with Chromatica and the public said NO

how did she try since chromatica being a house pop album not nu disco pop.

OT: yes ofc but i don't want her to do :thing:

FN feels more like a Katy album. It’s the album she should have delivered after Prism.

Gaga’s ego consumes her work, she would never be able to deliver something polished, streamlined and cohesive because she would have to leave her greasy, uncreative fingerprints all over it.

Also, Dua seems cool and the album feels effortless. Neither of those are synonymous with Gaga

Edited by discotitzz

it depends. if Gaga could find the youth in her voice again I think she would be able to. her voice is very unpleasant these days.

No cuz Dua Lipa had a gp power to make it successfull. People dont think it is gay to listen Dua Lipa. (for now at least :clown:)
