Kinda sad that aespa is doing mostly trap-pop or whatever for their next comeback. I wanted more rave/techno/eurobeat/dnb/whatever music like Kelela or Lee Jung-Hyun. But I'll probably eat up whatever they put out.

have you heard this?

I know it's not exactly what you mean but at least it's not trap-pop

ma'am this is an RV b-side :deadbanana4:

this album seems like it's gonna be all over the place. if they didn't come up with something REAL quick for the TT, this might be the final nail in aespa's coffin

The way NewJennies are coming for everybody

also before some of y’all say it, I know this list doesn’t have the K/DA songs

Why is TXT with a recent Korean comeback not out streaming SKZ on Spotify and YouTube (even with the help of ads)?

But you guys tagged me and told me that TXT ended SKZ, so what's the truth?  WHY IS SKZ WITHOUT A COMEBACK GETTING MORE DAILY STREAMS THAN TXT?????  @Spark @NormaniReign

maybe OT10 is still alive and well after all, imagine Dasom and Luda still staying with WJSN anyways despite being underutilized :jonny5:

Except for the solo, all the songs were from the same project. It's very The Album (BP) type of album where all the songs could be singles but the album itself has not really any connection.

Really seems like Nayeon's solo was the only release in the past few years that JYP has bothered to put any effort in. POP! is an excellent song, the bsides were great, the direction, concept and choreo was fun and took all the elements of what made Twice so appealing while they were coming up. Everything else has just been 'meh' and uninspiring. At least the past few albums have had at least one song I regularly listen to like Trouble, LAST WALTZ, etc but it doesn't even seem like that'll be the case this time. :gaycat6:

do we think NewJennies will have Japanese debut soon? out of the blue like their Korean debut? they were hinting at learning Japanese and they will perform there tomorrow? Japanese versions of their singles soon? :coffee2:

I haven't actually. This is like one of their cuter(?) songs a la "Yeppi Yeppi" and I enjoy these kind of songs from them. It's just they have such a strong identity already that it's kind of sad that SM is giving them songs that could work for NCT or the Cake girls (like other ppl have said). What's worse is that Red Velvet hasn't really had a pure Velvet title in a while and I feel like they might be giving them to aespa.

IDK kinda seems like I'm just talking out of my a** atp.

Stray Kids - 169 songs

TXT - 52 songs

The fact despite having over three times the amount of songs, they're only getting 37 million more streams. :rip:

TXT - 2.86m per song average

Stray Kids - 1.1m per song average

Is it real :deadbanana4:???  Despite being the best selling genre in physicals ???

Physicals are great and all but that doesn't exactly show that people are listening especially when they're boosted by 100 versions and multiple album photocards. Some of these groups that are pulling massive sales are stagnant streaming or touring-wise.

Considering we're about to be in a recession and the only area that KPOP seems to be massively growing in is album sales which is heavily reliant on getting the fans to spend as much money as possible....maybe he has a point.

the truth is that there's probably been more discussion about aespa's musical "direction" and concept in this thread than in the SM building

a complete failure of A&R for this group

Kinda good decision i guess? March and April are packed with cb and it would be sad if they suddenly got no win in music shows after the amazing win streak for Stay This Way. It'll be their first full album cb after all :chick3:

I really hope Dawon and Luda still on WJSN, just not on Starship.

That's even worse :deadbanana4: May is kinda safe i think, but we never know, what if IU or some male soloist will release :chick3:

TBH I think Twice losing their charting power in Korea has more to do with overexposure rather than the concept change (like many users claim)

Songs after the concept change such as Fancy, Feel Special and More & More did well, not as successful as their previous singles but you can’t expect a group to constantly get smash hits so :michael:

I’m sure they would do better after a long break but it’s clear that they are focusing on the international market instead (and succeeding) so none of this stuff really matters at the end :clap3: they already have enough hits that most groups would dream of
