And CJ abandoning their group is nothing new. They do this all the time, debuting group under a sub company and then sell the freedom of this company or this sub company to another company, or just sell the group. It's just business.

Honestly they deserve some rest after such a nonstop schedule of comebacks and touring. I want them to come back recharged and fully fresh. Sonically, visually and mentally.

Winwin is still in WayV (officially). He faded in K-Pop circles but in China he has some success as a solo in modelling/acting, since he opened his personal studio (company) in China in 2021. EXO Lay and f(x) Victoria did similar things. 

 

He's nearly always absent from WayV activities and his studio had some disputes with SM about scheduling, and SM doesn't promote his solo stuff in China, so I think maybe he will not renew his contract. 

 

I kinda don't blame him since WayV is kinda over, even if they are getting a new album, China doesn't use them and that's their main market, so they are redundant. And they will never compete with the sales of other NCT units, even though they are just as talented, which is sad.
