I didn’t watch that one truthfully. I’ll do it now.

Imagine saying Seunghan is a WEAK vocalist not even average… the disrespect is too much

don’t believe that he’s good and even KIng Wonbin said it :coffee:

Truthfully though Anton/Eunseok and Sungchan/Seunghan could be ranked interchangeably depending on the day.

The only constants are Sohee & Wonbin at the top and Shotaro at the bottom, poor thing.

Seunghan is better than you think and even Wonbin knows it

We’re basically living in 2003 when songs would set longevity records all the time yet nobody knows the songs because they were all fueled by radio payola. These songs are the new trinity of fraudulent streams :deadbanana:

Anyway, IVE now have the most album equivalents for a 4th gen girl group :clap3:

Physicals - 5,905,998

Spotify - 1,370,526,388

YouTube - 1,023,283,017

Digitals - 4.2B+

Aespa will snatch them in November and then NewJeans will snatch Aespa in February/March with their first full album.

You think Flowers and All it was success were fraudulent?

I was kind of thinking about something that could be one of the topics of discussion for the day (something I want to do regularly):

For those of you who were fans of OT9 SNSD, how did you deal with Jessica’s departure? If she was your bias, did it change how you looked at the group afterward?

It’s been almost 10 years since she left SNSD. With most of the girls at other labels now despite coming together for group comebacks, what would you make of Jessica reuniting with the girls and that leading to her rejoining the group? Think it could happen or has too much damage been done?

I supported her activities after she left but the way she tried to make herself out to be a victim of SNSD instead of a victim of SM in her infamous 930 Weibo post left a poor taste in my mouth. When my copy of her book Shine arrived I read it in one sitting and I have never lost any respect for somebody quite as fast as I did Jessica. She intentionally laced the entire book with references to real people and events for attention but then went on to tell OBVIOUS lies such as how a member DRUGGED her, and there were multiple points where Jawsica Jung alleged that the entire group was jealous of how pretty and talented and favored by SM she was. :deadbanana2: It was extremely careless of her to bring elements of real people who worked alongside her for a decade to a book that wasn't real.

Her fans post-930 were always a nuisance and constantly dragging SNSD for no reason other than the fact that Jessica wasn't allowed to be a part of it anymore, but after she so boldly lied and presented an absurdly fictionalized take on events, her stans weren't able to take the sensationalized fiction aspect of the book at face value(which in their defense, it wasn't until MONTHS after the book came out that Jessica started admitting how much of it was fiction, I believe Jawsica knew exactly what she was doing with that). The fact that it's 2023 and grown ass men who claim to be fans of Girls' Generation are calling Sooyoung's mom a ***** with their full chest is a microcosm of the constant abuse that Jessica has encouraged on her former members and I could not be any more proud of Seohyun, Tiffany, and especially Sooyoung who was basically the main antagonist of Shine for taking the high road and not fighting back after they left SM's control too.

It's visible without any published lies that both SNSD and Jessica had differing priorities at that point in their lives in 2014 and one thing I do believe to be true from her books is that there was an enormous breakdown in communication between her and the group because of it, neither of these things is indicative of foul play by soshi though. SM let her leave before the 10 year mark despite both Jessica and her stans' assertions that she was under an illegal 10 year contract and the only outwardly shady thing they ever did to her after 930 was when they tried to pit Tiffany's debut against her, which massively backfired anyway. There's still so much talk about how SNSD and SM did her SO dirty though based on lies in a book and a bunch of circumstantial evidence that only holds any weight if you're already assuming guilt.

With every lawsuit for fraud against Jessica and Tyler Kwon while everybody in SNSD remains scandal-free and universally beloved(other than my ult stiff :emofish:) it becomes more clear who's actually the Villain.mp3 in this situation.

Jessica was such an important part of SNSD that it was genuinely unfathomable that they would go on to be even stronger without her. Members leaving a group is basically commonplace but not usually somebody who's such a vital part of the image, sound, and personality of a group. I don't think there's been a bigger upset to a group's lineup since. If the members were to choose to forgive her and allow her back into the newer, better SNSD, it would be something truly special to see but I personally(as well as a HUGE portion of sone) will not have any respect for Jessica ever again. She deserves every ounce of contempt she gets from OT8 hardliners even if the way those people try to erase her from SNSD's pre-930 legacy is goofy.

Yes. Miley Cyrus left RCA records (infamous for bad playlisting and no use of Spotify tricks) and was known for having terrible recurrent streams despite impressive sales. Her first release under Columbia Records used the Autoplay feature hard and suddenly she went from abysmal streaming numbers to setting a record for fastest song to 1B streams ever. Flowers (with Autoplay payola) was streamed 1.5B times and is pulling 1.943M daily. River (no Autoplay) is at 110M and pulling 126k daily while Jaded (no Autoplay) is at 124M and doing 226k daily.

Most streams are fake (confirmed by every major platform themselves) and it’s why I stan the Circle charts so much. They’re constantly weeding out fraudulent streams which is why you’ll see boy groups’ streams that are reflected on Circle are a fraction of what they pull when the platforms post numbers.

like how could you hate them when they serve excellence and can sing?? :fan2:

Even Miley stans were kii'ing over how hard columbia was pushing her at that time.

I never in my life thought that Lee Know would do a SKZ-Replay track omg!
I always wanted a Minsung unit song, but thought that it would never happen. Though I wanted them to debut a Minsung unit song in their actual album, cause the hype would’ve been insane, since Minsung is by far the most popular pairing in the fandom. But I am also happy with a SKZ-replay track

The way Lee Know went from being N/A in almost a month to now his MC gig, his interview with W Korea and now releasing a new song with Han all in the same day :WAP:

Because some people wouldn't notice quality if it hit them in the face. So what can we do y'know 🤷‍♀️
