It's the qualities I like about SM that makes their acts more difficult to push worldwide. I've said it before and I'll say it again: SM makes K-pop for K-pop fans, and its groups/music are mostly inaccessible to any general audience outside East Asia, let alone a Western audience. It's the same problem that most J-pop has.

 

I'm at peace with that, but I do want them to make listenable music and for their acts to at least have some relevance in Korea. That's achievable for Aespa if they get off this noise music mess

Yeah because it makes sense to compare when NJ and IVE were less than a year old group Compared to aespa which was almost turning 2. 

 

New jeans is now the best selling debut album and LD has 870k sales while savage has 760k.

Also streets are saying this new gg will have a gp friendly sound which makes it even worse bc they literally have aespa an NCT REJECT (confirmed) during the height of their career  but other people are saying Chris Lee got fired so hopefully this new gg won’t even be under SM after all 

 

also with the delay in aespa’s cb (due to the title track being changed) maybe it’s actually the other way around and aespa will be the gp friendly group cause this new gg was rumored to be a band

Not really… I know it’s just a b side and Stayc fanbase is small but how small are they to not even debut in melon top 100, when the charts are currently dead ? BEP really need to work on growing stayc fanbase but it can’t happen with no promotions.
