Somi hadn’t debuted as a soloist when she left JYP, and she didn’t go to YG proper, she went to a sub label that seems more apt to take on desperates.

 

2AM was a collaborative effort between both JYP and Big Hit - Jo Kwon was already involved with both agencies.

its because the 3rd gen paved the way that's why everything is easy for the 4th gen now (worldwide recognition, million sales after 1 comeback, getting luxury brand deals at debut etc)
