The encore was fine, Yunjin slayed, but they do sound a bit off when they sing the chorus in unison

Most of the comments there are positive and complimentary, Koreans are stanning (I personally think they could sing much better than this lol But I'm glad this still received well)

The comments on how the sales don't match the streams in kpop should stop, we all know kpop is driven with mass buying for photocards, c bars and for fan wars credit,  the only groups that have high streams ww are the ones that are known every where like bts and blackpink

It's not a disaster by any stretch, plus they are clearly targeting Korea specifically this time, which is a market where Spotify is a total flop as a service. 

 

Expecting "sales match streams" is a logical fallacy anyway. Digitals and physicals have always been distinct in K-Pop. 

 

Their sales are record breaking, their Korean digitals are doing great and they're selling out arenas and playing domes overseas. There isn't an argument for fraud or failure in aespa's case

Yes, album sales are cute but they are more of an indication of a healthy fanbase (in aespa's case, in China) than actual impact on a country's audience

 

Stray Kids have massive album sales but literally no one knows them outside their fanbase

 

 

 

 

NMIXX sold 800k albums but can't sell out a 2k seats fanmeet

aespa is definitely doing better than that this decade.

120M is such a specific benchmark like..and Psycho was released in the last week of 2019  FMR will get there by the end of this year. And mind you RV have only had 3 comebacks this decade anyway.

 

BM, NL and Savage did great, Illusion did cute. But the facts are Spicy not debuting on the charts isn’t a great sign. And mind you they also have the advantage of most their music being girl crush.
 

Either way SM acts across the board just don’t perform as well bc SM has no idea what the WW audience wants lmao. They’ve got great album sales & a local hit so they’re fine.
