It’s a favorite Fighter nickname, but is she? Why or why not?

I mean, she’s a legend for this generation but she didn’t do much to establish a legacy so in one or two more generations I sadly don’t think she’ll be as remembered. I’d love for that to change though, she’s a vocal chameleon.

No, she's a pop icon and people know her for her voice, which considering the lack of effort she put into her career in the last 10 years she and her fans should be happy with

 

If she actually continued to release and produce amazing well constructed eras and quality music like Stripped and Back to Basics especially she probably would have been much bigger today and would be a touring act

 

It's sad that she was such a visionary when younger and had the guts to experiment with sounds and then since Bionic it really seems like she just lost her passion for music, Bionic era was destroyed because of her lack of taste to have something as trashy as Not Myself Tonight and its video as the first introduction for the era since she had much better songs on that album that could have gotten some amazing experimental video and actually promote the era as 'ahead of its time''  as she claimed the album was and Lotus was such a garbage dated record (and still could have done some damage if Your Body was promoted as a proper lead single and her team pushed Let There Be Love and that Blake duet more as singles)

 

If only she was smart enough or just better said cared more to capitalize on the entire ballad trend that was going around when 21 was smashing instead of Lotus mess (and she herself had a smash collab Say Something) and then move her sound in that soul/r&b teritory and then maybe even have her next record in this entire disco/80s era we had she easily could have had at least 1-2 smash eras to be closer to the legend status

I always thought Legend X as an ironic nickname,  like people calling Mariah "skinny legend "

I always thought it was a meme nickname because her success was so limited and short lived. Do people think someone with 2.5 successful albums can be a legend?

I'll be honest, i've never seen or heard anyone call her that outside of this forum, not even on Twitter.

Because it has always been used ironically. Her fans are the only people taking it seriously 

 

Every artist has a title like this but if you type "Legend X" on Google there is not a single picture or website about Christina Aguilera. All of the results are about a fishing rod brand called "Legend X"
