if anything Midnights just pulled her out of that tier because of its tragic quality

Yes definitely! I think she kind of has her own lane. Like, she feels more like a Fleetwood Mac / Joni Mitchell type legend than a Madonna, if that makes sense? Idk.

OT: Taylor definitely has surpassed so many with her sales. I still do ponder on her reach culturally compared to these three women tho.

She surpassed Britney like 1.5 decades ago when Speak Now cleared 1 million first week. 

 

She is bigger than both Beyonce and Adele since 2017. You can whine about cultural impact all you want but no one gives a ****... India and China alone have almost 30-40% population of the word and here Taylor is far more bigger than the Adeles and the beyonces of the world. 

 

The Britney sneak, even Gaga has a legacy bigger than hers and I’m an OGH and a far bigger Britney stan. Let’s come back to earth.

Dusty album sales aren't the end-all-be-all to success. Britney literally only excelled in this one area for a brief period of time, which just so happened to coincide with the absolute height of compact disc sales. In terms of overall success, she's still the weakest among the three. The most untalented one also.

 

Serious question, what cultural impact does Adele have?

Taylor surpassed Britney before 1989. Adele will always have 25's first week sales & Beyoncé has cultural impact. But I think she's going to be remembered as much as Beyoncé based on their critical acclaim & touring numbers.
