I've been seeing it on TikTok a lot recently, but true 2010s nostalgia will not be here until the end of this decade. 2010s nostalgia will remain a niche like the 2000s did for a long time.

Yes. I feel like 2010s nostalgia has been a thing since before the 2010s even ended. Like, the "summer 2016" craze has been a thing since at least 2019

the 2010s are low key more iconic than any decade in terms of technological development, arts, fashion, trends, people will realize in the next 10 years

the “todays music is so bad i used to listen to katy” line is one i will use in the 2040s girl!

ive seen that trend nnnnn them glamorizing 2014 with all these aesthetic pics and 1989 

2016 was also the last really memorable year for mainstream entertainment. After that the underground/indie scene took over and pop became more DIY and hip hop took over the charts

2016 was the last normal year before the timeline shifted

I turned 13 in the last half of 2014  Just barely made the cut, Ariana’s My Everything era defined the year

I was actually wondering what that will look like in 2030s

 

but nah, it still has some time to come

feels like we barely touched the 00s...90s feel more prevalent atm

(even 80s are still present)

This is so bizarre to me especially when they refer to artists who were popular on Tumblr, it wasn't even that long ago  Like Lana, the 1975 and Arctic Monkeys are all still active musicians, two of them have albums coming out in October
