Even though she has scored 3 #1 hits this decade, they were short lived moderate to small hits at best, will Midnights show Taylor's true power as a hit-maker or will she just excel at album sales like she always does? Unless she flops into oblivion there too

I think so. The stage is set for it. All she has to do is come with the right song. I'm praying for an electro R&B vibe. I think her warm vocals would be amazing for that sound.

No reason why she wouldn't - but it always depends on the song as always. Would have to be a pretty heinous song like "Me!" to flop with her star power.

There's no real competition for her atm. The TikTok-driven summer hits (BMS, SFG) are dying off so the timing is perfect.

If she lets her songs kindle naturally instead of pulling all the stops for a no1 song that falls off the charts the following week.

She's the biggest female name in the industry today. If she releases a pop song, it'll smash.

Of course she always could, but honestly she doesn’t even need to. She’s proven she can be basically the biggest artist in a league of her own without a proper “hit”.

The lack of self awareness coming for remixes or even trying to insinuate any artist employs more desperate tactics than Taylor for no1. 

i think she still can score if she choose the right singles and do the payola!!! Hope the singles from midnight are international hits!!! ATW10 could have been at least a 20 week charting hit for taylor if she released it earlier!!!
