Y’know, the Clarity tracklist is awful and so is the one used for that concept… maybe it’s for the best that we never get an official Era 1 or Problématique tracklist

But actually tho I can’t STAND listening to things out of order so can somebody just share the order already?! This really is an XCX World all over again… a couple songs that don’t leak with the rest and no legitimate track order to use 

 

This album is not her best for sure but there are some cute bops on here. Je T'adore is really good

This is definitely a fanmade thing, why would they use her vmag cover that came out months after her real shoot with Steven Klein ?

Honestly, this "album" leaking is probably for the best for a few reasons:

1) The rollout (dating back to "Malibu"?) has been horrendous, even if you consider "Future Starts Now" as the official beginning of the era.

2) While a lot of these songs are good or even great, most don't hold a candle to the best works from Era 1 or Clarity, especially not TOTL.

3) If Republic were going to shelve these tracks anyway, at least the fans don't have to wait a decade before they eventually surface anyway.

4) Less coins for Mr. Trax.

 

That said, I really do think some of these tracks are good, great even, namely the title track, "Deeper", "Confession", "Revelations" (if it were a bit longer), and "Sex Talk" as a personal guilty pleasure. From the earlier leaks, "Hit It From the Back" and "Je t'Adore" are obvious highlights, and "All She Wants" grew on me. Some evidently rougher demos such as "Ur Time to Cry" or "Dance to Forget" could be perfect for future release with a production rework, even.

 

If Republic were smart, they'd capitalise on the leak hype and package some of these songs as a mixtape, similar to Charli's Number 1 Angel or Pop 2. At least they'd be getting some coins while the fans get their life.

I don't think the Steven Klein shoot was scrapped... i guess it will be the cover of the new album (whatever the new title is).

 

She just wouldn't waste a photoshoot with him like that... or would she?

 

 

Oh... and Kim has a concert tonight, livestreamed on Twitch apparently. We'll see how she'll address the leak or pretend nothing happened. Lowkey hope for her to sing another song from Problématique since she knows her fans already heard it

Yes, it’s time for her to perform Keep It as she said she would have done at Coachella. That’s the Taxi of the whole era, and we need to hear it.

The future funk influence on the end of the title track is probably my favorite thing about this whole project

The image and sound is perfect so this will make up for the Coachella fiasco. Can't wait to see the setlist, but i think it'll be the same she's been doing lately...

Also confirmed she's making a whole new album rn, listening to a lot of german techno and getting inspired by The Prodigy for it.

I'd give this maybe a 5/10-6/10. It's a fun pop record, but it lacks the vocal prowess and the tautness of Clarity. Also, while these are all bops, nothing here outshines There Will Be Blood, Malibu, Heart to Break, I Don't Want it All, Icy, Sweet Spot, or Do Me.

Yep they’d be dumb AF to scrap that song. It has viral potential (and we know they’re obsessed with getting Kim a viral moment)…

I'd cut Hit It From The Back and Ja T'adore which are super boring and repetitive + Treat Me Like A Hoe and Leave My Body and you'd have a really good album

Apparently the rarest one of the lot  but it is probably still getting sold somewhere so I am sure we will get it eventually. If this is her xcx world, Keep It is her Taxi.

OT: Kinda love how she just basically said "¯\_(ツ)_/¯" about the leak. She knows the songs were never coming out under Republic and honestly I wouldn't at all be shocked if it turns out the falling out between her and Aaron Joseph was staged so that they could leak the songs themselves. That's probably a bit conspiracy'd on my behalf tho!

 

Strongly disagree with people agreeing that it should have been shelved. It's a pretty solid pop album. I would have agreed if the quality remained the same for the early leaks, but the deeper (no pun intended) cuts that were saved were genuinely good pop songs.
