What u mean flopped? It’s doing really well actually. Happier than ever was a success. So was therefore i am. Your power I don’t get why it wasn’t bc it was what got me into her and was a great song. My future I see why I did t and same with nda, even though I also liked the latter. It still has sold real well and done better than most other mpgs have recently.

there is no world she’s really losing, she’s set for life from her first two projects and already has an aoty grammy and an oscar all before the age of 21. Maybe she wanted less hype from the gp with HTE and its single choices idk, I mean once you make it who would want to constantly be on when we all fall asleep’s level of fame?? that amount of attention sounds suffocating to me tbh. I don’t think every album necessarily needs to be bigger and grander than the last. I work at a venue and her fanbase was by far the loudest I’ve heard from a pop act, I promise she’ll be good with chart success or not.

I love Billie but i feel liek the album had a lot of filler-type songs after such a filler-less debut :cries: at least for my ears. but i respect her art and happier than ever was prob my most played song last year.

She's doing fine. Even HTE underperforms, she's still very young and able to bounce back with the 3rd album.

Happier Than Ever is her Speak Now, she can easily have a long career with the right decisions

speak now had more than 3 weeks in the top 5 though

olivia overshadowed

Nothing went wrong. HTE was never going to be as successful as her first and the poor pre-album single choices didn't help, but she'll be fine. Her tour is doing really well and I think that's more telling of her status.

Nothing went wrong. You can't expect someone to be forever as successful as their during their peak.

The album still seems to be on the charts and she's headlining Glastonbury this weekend.

I think she's doing just fine really.

Nothing. Happier than Ever have great longevity, the singles may have tanked except title track which did great, and she's doing a massive world tour.

she released some CLASSIQUES such as Happier Than Ever and Your Power, I'd say everything is going the right way

the album has 3 top 10 singles (one being #2) while wwafawdwg only has 1 that was a shot lived #1, so i wouldnt say she went wrong anywhere, it has acclaims, the tour is doing AMAZING, i wouldnt say anything went wrong

Those 3 top 10 singles spent a combined 3 weeks in the top 10 :toofunny3:

yeah but the other songs from wwafawdwg charted lower and most of them for a week too, so i dont think that having 3 top #10 singles on the second album shows some kind of strength for the album

Which all spend 1 week in the top 10 when they debuted and then dropped off :skull: HTE isn’t a flop but lets not pretend that its top 10 singles were hits

longevity, 3 billion streams, smash single that’s still getting 1m streams per day after a year and smash tour :michael: she did great once the album came out considering how they butchered the era

It's still in the Top 40 after nearly a year later which is better than majority of MPG sophomore albums in the past despite having only one active hit during its chart run. Biggest female tour of the year and the only album besides Sour and Red TV to sell over 500k pure copies. Seems like the question should be "what went right?" after this site swore it was the biggest decline ever and were proven wrong (as always) :rip:

This! And I'm not even a Billie fan, and if her album was truly a flop, I would be intellectually honest and say so.

not miss Eilish releasing stadium tour dates the day after this thread was made :ahh:

Touring stadiums while OP's alleged fave is an opening act for Coldplay, I'd be threatened too :dancehall2:
