That 165m number is so inflated  but it's totally plausible to me that they're telling the truth but that this is also the viral moment they were hoping to stage. Idk, the song they were teasing sounds kinda basic compared their last album's material

I believe that Capitol told her to "get a viral moment", as others like Twigs and Florence have mentioned that being labels' top priority these days, but I think Halsey herself realized complaining about it in a TikTok could make it go viral more than a stupid dance or something

She loves and craves attention. "My label doesn't want to release this song" yet the song sounds like one of her generic, mall music singles Halsey loves to release. **** off

I believe her because otherwise this whole thing is stupid af. Imagine doing all that and later on revealing it was all a gimmick

I think in general that labels want hits and they want virality as an easy way to get success. 
 

But I also think that if her label was strong arming her as much as she’s implying then “If I Can’t Have Hits I Want Acclaim” wouldn’t have been release.  

I do believe her cause music labels are the WORST 

I 100% believe that this is happening to artists across the board, but her TikTok is cringey and not helping the cause because that's just who she is.
