I was told ASIB's success was carried by Gaga's songwriting. Why isn't this self-written song taking off ? 

 

Perhaps with the push of a movie campaign. We'll be rooting for her.

Oh wow, oh wow. It would appear that Shallow is the exception from Gaga's legendary floppage and not the rule  I wonder why that might be

Shallow is the better song and it also happens to be a huge modern classic. Not many people have that

Maybe she should do a fake romance with Tom Cruise, it really worked for Shallow.

Hold My Hand only charted in two countries 

 

Bigger names such as Zara Larsson and Ava Max can chart in way more countries than that in 2022 

A long shot but what if the song becomes a massive hit in the next few months? Sometimes this kind of thread backfires.

 

I'm not a fan of the song but if the movie does well this could become a sleeper hit.

Shallow took a lot of time and promo to become a huge hit 

So this is not surprising. The movie is not even out yet. And if she does million reasons type of promo she will get a hit

The song is mayo...and bland ....it has nothing original or special....iy's just ok...

cause people stream more this song then HMH, voila

Because Shallow is a much better song. Even though it took months for the song to hit #1, the GP were still fond of the song the minute the soundtrack was available for streaming. There was massive momentum of the song since the trailer aired and Gaga & bradley's chemistry helped propel the song to reach a new height in Gaga's career. Hold My Hand is a cute pop ballad but she needed to go more hard and dramatic. It's still too early to predict how well Hold My Hand will perform. With Gaga, I always say its best to never jump the gun with her releases. For all we know the song can really take off as soon as the movie comes out but I doubt it will ever go #1 or even reach half of Shallow's success.
