Love it. Slay Queen.

True.

However, considering she’s only released 4 albums compared to the other girls 9, 50% of her output being great is a fantastic percentage in my opinion.

Every artist has duds, some more than others, and not everything Adele releases is going to be magnificent. We know that.

Well if we want to be fair and compare Taylor’s four best albums to the albums Adele has released so far she still clears Adele.

Taylors discog is more enjoyable

As for songwriting there both good but Taylor has a slight edge.

Not people calling 2 of Adele albums bad (they're not)

This thread is about the music, not which one is more global/ has the most classic albums. :bunny2:

Okay.

“21” has produced some of the most famous and memorable self-written songs released by a female act, ever. Two of them are indisputable classics and will stand the test of time as such.

“21” is one of the few albums where the entirety of it captured a whole generation, the album tracks probably even more than the actual singles to some people. “One and Only, Don’t You Remember, Turning Tables etc.” are all testaments to this.

I cannot say the same for others, at all.

Who has the better discography?

Still Adele

So, now we’re scrutinising peoples way of writing on a Pop forum?

Is the bar that low?

Of course she can. She just needs to change the arrangement a little bit to suit her voice. Adele is of course the much better vocalist.

None of the songs in 21 are selfwritten.

Let's start there.

The fact that she needed someone else to come up with those basic piano ballads with no intricate production.

Not the flex you think it is.

21 doesn’t have a single self-written song

The 30 slander in here :deadbanana4: all these ppl who are just looking for bops… 30 is a great album and much better than 25, even tho 25 has a more pop-friendly sound. I enjoy both.

Tay has a great discography too but I couldn’t stand Reputation, and the debut is weak (but nostalgic for me). What stands out for Tay is that she is consistent and the song-writing quality got better and better.

Better discography is still Adele for me. Tay is a much better song writer.

21 is THE album of our generation tho. Nothing has come close in the past 20 years.

Most songs are written by 2 people even the best of songwriters

Quality wise, I think Evermore and Folklore top any of their albums, followed by 21. Overall, Taylor has a much better discography because she is consistent, albeit upgrading quality of writing in each release. I mean personally, I can listen to all her albums continuously and not get bored or lose interest. For Adele, I would somehow skip some songs in 19, 25 and 30.

I love a lot of Adele’s songs and 30 was definitely a step in the right direction, but Taylor’s one of my absolute fav songwriters of her generation (pop and otherwise)

Taylor’s got such an impressive discography that it’s hard to compare it to almost any other modern pop artists tbh

I prefer Adele discography because I love blue-eyed soul.

But Taylor is the best songwriter of any female MPG when it comes to lyrics. She writes so well & is so descriptive, you almost don’t even needs music videos for her song tbh

Adele :gaycat4:

Taylor's first few albums is a no for me, but Red, Folklore and Evermore are those ******* :clap3:
