Both Wonyoung and Sakura are extremely popular and doing well, while Wonyoung is Korea's favorite girl, Sakura is more loved internarionally, both have WON already!

That Wongyoung obsessed hater who just wrote paragraphs hating on her just proved my point. It's not a joke to them, they are dead serious about judging a young girl's character based on their biased hateful observation. Calling her a "spoiled brat" with no real proofs,saying there's no way she would grow up not become "toxic" and "entitled", bashing her for keeping a perfect image while they microanalyze her actions to find every little imperfection in her attitude. Like they don't even realize that they are the reason why most female idols have to endure extreme pressure to keep a good girl image.

True the suzy resemblance does help but its still kinda a feat considering its rare for a non korean to be most popular in a group in Korea

 

the only other case I can think of is Tzuyu (at debut)

FEARLESS is kinda good when paired with a performance. I wouldn't really listen to it otherwise.

 

And yes Kazuha is quite captivating.

When you all delve into the personal lives of celebrities, especially young females, and project your own insecurities and feelings on them, it’s incredibly weird. What possesses some of you girls to be this ******* weird and misogynistic on the Internet? 
 

OT: Anyone have any insight on where I should order my three Hyoyeon albums from? Everywhere is so expensive.

I feel like a lot of us have dragged many idols in the past and I feel like it's fair game to drag the music or the talent/skill and people will disagree but dragging the looks of someone is very iffy cuz it's not like they can change it without a procedure and that can really mess someone up especially if they're minors or new to the industry. It does seem like we live in a bubble but there have been cases were someone sent a comment from ATRL to a youtuber and she cried on a video and turns out she had a disease.

So we are going to pretend child stars growing up into troubled adults is not a common pattern in celebrities? And apparently quoting her on doing a bunch of extracurriculars as a kid is "delving into her personal life"? And now I'm also a misogynist, even though literally one of the first comments I ever made abt her during izone's debut was how uncomfortable I was with how they were using her as pedobait. But sure go off.

and neither do most of the young idols in this industry. It sucks and it is evil.

But looks like you clearly have it against her specifically  

So Ren is a solo singer now and in the same company than VIVIZ, Soyou, Lee Mujin etc...

I only spoke abt it because she was on topic and she's like... The most extreme case that I know off. Sure we've had children debuting since long ago, like taemin or seohyun, but neither of them were made to be centre of their groups, or so fawned over for their appearances.

It has always been fluctuating between Tzuyu, Nayeon and Sana imo. 
 

 

This is actually very cool that they’re performing at a baseball game, it looks like kpop is finally returning back to it’s pre-pandemic days and I’m so happy

Well she is the center of the group because she deserves to be one and her popularity and charm warrants her that position. That doesn’t mean you can go in on her like it’s her fault.

There is a difference between criticizing the toxic industry that normalizes child labor and sexualization of young children and targeting ONE specific girl in particular by framing hateful narratives around her, calling her all sorts of names and making hasty judgement on how she will turn out in the future. It's unsettling and borderline creepy; it's almost like you want her to turn out a bad ***** so that your disliking of her is justified. Blame the system, not the young girls who are just trying their best to pursue their dreams. Also, so far at least in kpop there is no correlation between their debut age and attitude problem. Idols debuting at young age like Seohyun, Taemin, Minzy, Sohee, Jiyoung, Jisung...are all known to be nice ones and haven't had any Irene moment while Irene herself debuted quite late compared to her contemporaries.

 

And logical fallacy. If you say that someone is problematic, the burden of proof is on you. Saying that there's no proof she's toxic behind the scene but there's no proof that she isn't toxic either to make it seem like both statements having the same validity is serving religious nuts' logic of God's existence.
